Yes, this is the RIGHT stuff.When you are actually USING your kerosene lamps for multiple HOURS every day, you'll end up TRIMMING OFF about 1/4 inch EACH day. I STRONGLY suggest you CUT your wicks into 12 or 14 inch LENGTHS BECAUSE there will always be about 3-5 inches on the end that is LOST because it won't reach down to the fuel, so those 8" wicks, you get to burn only about 4-5" of it. (4 inches at 1/4" per day= 16 days of use until you gotta get rid of the old 8" wick.) So, by cutting 14" long wicks, and losing the last 4", you get to burn 10 inches before it's time for a change. 10" X 1/4" each day= 40 days of use. (MUCH less waste.)

this is not a single wicking........it is tubular and an answer inthe questions about this is false........i would not have madethe purchase if i had known that it is not a flat one piececonstruction. very disappointing.
