Good price, good review
Pros: These books have outline materials, as well as mini breakdowns, which are always helpful. The books have hundreds of questions that are great practice. These questions are more like brain teasers instead of the traditional ncbe questions. They are shorter and because of that you can cover more principles of law fasterCons: Because the questions are shorter and not the traditional ncbe questions, this is not the set to get if you are looking for mbe questions that resemble what will be seen on the bar exam.Overall: I am pleased with the purchase, as it does provide good review and was not as expensive as it could have been.

Do not buy this on Kindle!
While the content and method seem solid, the Kindle version is just not functional for use as the program is intended. For example, the reader is instructed to review one section, then "page ahead" to some Learning Questions to reinforce your grasp of the material. However, the "go to page number" option is not available and a 20 minute key word search left me still unable to locate the Questions section. Nor can you link to the questions from the Table of Contents. Additionally, several other steps in the process require the paper version--like the Outlines you are to create. I ended up ordering the paperback books after spending $156 on the Kindle version--for an additional $199. Save yourself the frustration and $$ and just get the paperback set.

Keep Looking
I passed the Kansas bar in 2011 using BarBri. Now I've moved and I'm studying for another state's test. Because of my previous experience studying for the bar exam, the low quality of this book is particularly apparent to me.There are plenty of typographical errors. Worse: misinformation and poor explanations. (So far, it seems the property law section is particularly weak.) Within one chapter there will even be contradictory information! I have to supplement using other resources. Even Wikipedia has more accurate information. There are a lot of practice questions. Unfortunately, the explanations are not detailed enough; they do not maximize the learning potential of working through practice problems. You will have to search through the text yourself to find details. You will also have to hope that the text is correct. In addition, the practice questions use outdated formats that you will not find on the MBE.The "Magic Memory Outlines" are a joke. They are just a list of paragraph headings in each chapter. The mnemonics are weak. For example, the elements of a claim for negligence? Every law student knows: duty, breach, causation, damages. Rigos suggests the mnemonic "ABCD". "A" stands for "A legal duty." Well, DBTB...Don't Buy This Book.I would not buy this book again. I would not recommend it to anyone studying for the bar exam, particularly if that person is taking the test for the first time. Keep looking.

A bit different approach to MBE
Rigo starts each topic with short questions that review basic legal principles for each MBE topic (approximately 60 questions). Some questions teach law that you likely did not learn in any other MBE book. His outlines, also included within the chapters, are also well done complete with neumonics. If you have a question about a certain issue (i.e.promissory estoppel), it is not difficult to find using this book. Some questions are quite difficult. All in all a good review and prep product for the BAR. Good luck!

Rigos Book Review
Based upon a friend's advice I brought the Rigos two Volume MBE as a second source to use with my Barbri course. I ended up using their Outlines and software as much as Barbri. The Rigos mnemonics and question drill were great and the question maps helped me understand how theyy test the law. Some of their questions were more difficult than the actual MBE seemed to be which was an added bonus. All for under $200. What a bargain.

Do not recommend.
Do not buy this as a sole study source -- notwithstanding what the books say. There are many errors in the book regarding very basic points of law. And other important points of law are missing from the subject area summaries, yet are tested in the practice questions -- as though different people wrote the summaries and the questions. Many of the practice questions are worded poorly, and/or in a way that is different from the MBE exam itself, making the questions virtually useless for timed test practice. The outlines for each subject -- which are supposedly the highlight of this series -- are improperly or confusingly ordered (for example, subsection A. might state, "There are four requirements for x," and then items 1-4 will be those elements, but will be followed by qualifications, exceptions, notes, etc. in items 5-8, rather than breaking back to a subsection B.Overall, just a shoddily written product. It's cheap enough to be worth using to organize your studying, especially if you can get it used for close to $100. But supplement it heavily with horn-books and other sources.
