1599 Geneva Bible: Luther Edition Hardcover – August 1, 2017

This bible is really good quality. The writing might be a little small for some readers. I love how there is footnotes to define certain words in the text. There is a table of contents and a separate page showing Old and New Testaments. There are also a few pages of prayers to say for your household. Highly recommend and the shipping was fast!

Arrived fast. This is exactly as described. 500 year anniversary Geneva Bible Reprint. I was aware there could be a risk of this being hard to read, as its been copied & reprinted several times, but it's very clearly legible, easy to read.I enjoy having a copy of the bible that came to America by the Pilgrims. When times were hard and life expectancy short.This is the bible that our Founding Fathers used when they formed the Colonies as well as the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.I will treasure this.

This Bible is a wonderful addition to my other Bible versions. It contains references and a lots of commentary. The print is quite small and light, however.

This was a gift for my grandson who had requested it after looking at mine. He was especially in interested in the notes. The way they were placed at the bottom of the page is much preferable and less crowded than the versions with the notes in the margins.

Excellent commentaries preserved. Good Forward and intro. Superb to predate the current Dispensational rage.

I REALLY like this Bible. It is easier to read than this other Geneva Bible I ordered. The text is a lil small though, so not best for those who need a larger text.

I love this bible! So easy to read, and so wonderful to read a translation people risked their lives for. For me, for this reason, this has become the translation I trust. It reads better and more comfortablely than my King Jimmies. The notes are wonderfully blunt and to the point. Makes me think of how Jesus talked to the money changers - no wonder King Jimmy hated it! Anyways, if you are a purist, this isn’t the version for you- it doesn’t have the Apocrypha, and the spelling is modernized. But only the spelling. There is a glossary at the back to help with the Middle English words. It’s wonderful!

A genuine high-quality production standard, and a pleasure to read.
