The 8 mm expanding bolts supplied are ok but a 8 mm masonry drill does not allow the bolts to fit into the hole, maybe a 9 mm drill is required, but it may be too large ? there is no bolt fixing info mentioned in the instructions. I used another method, heavy duty wall plugs and large screws no problem, plus fixed into the shelf itself for extra security using blank topped bolts. Apart from that it is a nice little safe and well made. Handy for storing passports etc.

Easy to install in a hidaway place and very sturdy for the price! Quite surprised by the weight.

Be aware, the battery cover has dropped off twice allowing the batteries to fall out, disabling the push buttons and leaving the locking bolts in a halfway position. being an engineer, I managed to "jiggle" the door and finally get it open using the key at the same time, tried it several times and repeated the problem. Fixed the battery cover with strong tape and now seems OK
