I have hesitated writing a review on this product as I've not actually used it as of yet. It was purchased specifically for corneal dryness but since I'm hyper sensitive (blepharitis) to products I've waited to use it until after the holidays and an upcoming trip. I do plan to start using it when our lives have calmed a bit. Probably early Feb. I will say that if it works it will be a great value since only a small amount is used. Right now I pay over $22 a month for OTC severe night cream. It is packaged correctly in that it is in a brown glass bottle. The applicators were a nice extra touch and the added benefit of growing lashes and brows will be great. The recipes and further information from the seller are interesting and I plan on trying some. So in hopes that I will not be sensitive to this product and can use it per my intention.

I was so excited for this to arrive. I’m an avid user of castor oil. So many good uses for it! For the past year I’ve been using castor oil to help me grow my sparse lashes and brows. I loved the last one I had prior to this, but when I ran out this time around, I decided I’d try another brand that offered larger bottles. This oil arrived on time. Was perfectly packaged, nice large heavy duty bottle. Being an organic product is very important to me. Anything that goes on my skin I prefer it be organic and, chemical free ingredients. This product *says* it’s organic. Now, I cannot prove that it’s not, however, this stuff made my nose and face itch SO bad (I do not apply the oil to my noise but apparently whatever is going on with this product is severe enough to make my nose itch). It’s also not near as thick as my favorite brand. Very runny which means if you use the mascara wand (wands included with the product for easy application which it a great feature) prepare for it to drip everywhere. The castor oil I previously used prior to this one was thick enough that it actually didn’t drip off of the wand applicator and into your eye. The consistency of this is so runny. Doesn’t matter how sparingly you use it, it WILL drip heavily into your eye while applying it to lashes. Thicker oils do not do that. They easily stay on the lash because it’s too thick to drip. This kind you could use the tiniest dab and no matter what it’s all going in your eye. With other oils, it’s safe to get them in your eye, which sometimes is not fully avoidable since you’re applying something so close to the eyeballs. Your vision will just be blurry for a few minutes. With this castor oil, when it gets in your eye, it STINGS BAD. Your eyes will well up with tears, turn bloodshot red, and will be watering the next 24 hours. At first I wasn’t sure the severe itchy face (especially my nose which is the worst if you’ve ever battled an itchy nose) was for sure from this product. Gave it another try tonight and I’m currently writing this with beet red cheeks, nose so itchy I’m afraid I’m going to damage it from rubbing it so excessively (soooo hard not to!!) and eyes on Fire. Guess this is going in the garbage. Considering that NO other Castir Oil has ever bothered me, and I’ve used it for years, I’m very sure that this is not pure. Unless I got a spoiled bottle or something, thus stuff is no good.

I had my optometrist suggest I start doing castor oil hot compresses at night to repair by oil glands due to dry eye. He made the suggestion without clarifying the type or grade of castor oil. I found this out the hard way. I purchased castor oil from a local Walgreens. This is the same castor oil used as a common laxative. DO NOT USE this on your eyes. I did not have any complications but after some simple research, I realized the product I was putting on my eyes could be leaching BPA from the plastic container. Additionally, it was not in a purely organic form. The consistency was extremely viscous and it tended to hang around in the morning making my vision blurry. I also did not notice any improvement in my dry eye symptoms after one month of this regimen. The Pure Acres brand eliminated all of this. This consistency was similar to the vitamin C oil I have purchased and is easily absorbed. No more oily eyes in the morning. My dry eyes have resolved and MY EYELASHES ARE GROWING! The product also comes with applicators - bonus!

I'm using it to moisturize my hands. because I have some scaliness on my fingers. I'm also using the oil on my eyebrows to see if it will restore some of what was lost through radiation (thyroid cancer). That will take a few months before I see any results. I'm already seeing results on my hands. Overall, I think that the oil is worthwhile. Also they e-mail you a booklet with recipes that seem very useful. I plan to try all the ones that apply to my situation.

Besides being a moisturizer for dry skin, I am looking forward for the castor oil to darken and lengthen both my skimpy eyebrows and eyelashes. I do realize that it will take time. I am using it every night and just put a towel on my pillow. I also put a few drops in my hands and rub my hands together and then run my fingers through my long hair. I am happy that it is a certified organic oil.

I love that it is in a dark glass bottle to preserve quality. Also I love that it includes the brushes and has a dropper top. I read a review that the little pointed brush was hard and useless. This is not the case if you rinse with water and rub with fingers, it softens. I love to use it to put the oil on my eyebrows and lash line.

The oil came with the brushes and applicators as pictured, and was undamaged. I use this castor oil on my relatively short eyelashes, patchy eyebrows, and my damaged hairline for growth. I also put it on my cuticles and nails for moisturizing and strengthening. Within 3 days of using this castor oil every day, my eyebrows and eyelashes are thicker, my hairline's coming back in, and my previously weak nails are growing in stronger. My hair and nails tend to grow quick and thick anyway, but it can get damaged due to lack of moisture. I'm very happy with this product, and I think I look prettier. ♡

I expected the castor oil to be smooth and liquidity but this is thicker. It is almost likr a paste. However, I still think it is worth purchasing especially considering how expense it is. The jar is bigger that I thought it would be. It includes all the parts as well.
