Upgraded Replacement for Rheem Furnace Flame Sensor 62-21744-01

I purchased this and it only lasted a few months. Its the day after Christmas and I am out of heat again! I have been told that these are touchy and not to touch the end of the tip. I did not but it arrived in an open envelope and not even in a package so I dont know who handled the end of the thing before I purchased it! I would not buy again from this company!!!

Looks the same, but the Ceramic is to big to fit in the holder.

The diameter is wider than the original Rheem model RGDD-04NC-CR furnace I have. Hopefully this will help someone with a like furnace as I searched online everywhere to replace this part and fortunately a local HVAC repair shop stated they couldn't replace it but said to but it online. Once I got it installed, everything worked like a charm! Used pliers to push the sensor into the sleeve that holds it and clicked in after putting a little elbow grease. I almost thought I got the wrong part and even shaved the sides down with a file with no avail.

Took me a year to figure out what was wrong with my furnace, but after installing this new Flame Sensor my furnace finally kicks on as intended!

Had to sand mine down with sand paper a lot just to get it to clip in the hole, took way too much extra time cause all I had was 200 grit. Don't know if that's normal for RHEEM furnaces back in the day or not. Was pretty frustrating though.

First off the white plastic part is noticeably thicker then original rheem part and had to sand it down to even fit in the hole of the holder on the furnace, then once installed it still did not work. Thanks for wasting my time and money!
