Loopies Magnetic Reading Glasses. Unisex, Adjustable, Foldable, Front Connecting, UVA, Scratch Resistant, Case & Cloth

I first learned about magnet retained reading glasses in a shopping mall in Florida a couple of years ago. They were relatively expensive there, but excellent value in that I didn't loose or sit on them. Like several other cheap ones I have bought subsequently, they were however of poor quality. Those pairs had simple round magnets glued in, which sometimes come adrift. The side length adjustment rapidly wore out meaning they were permanently on maximum length, and several hinges partly or totally failed.These Loupies glasses are in a different league for quality, yet they are still inexpensive enough to keep several pairs around the house, workplaces and in vehicles.They cannot be pulled directly apart, but need to be (easily) hinged up in the centre. They are said to be scratch resistant - though one improvement I would love to see is truly scratch resistant hard lenses, for which I would be prepared to pay a reasonable premium. Other than that the design is very good, and I have just ordered some photochromic ones to extend their usefulness.

disappointed, one pair has just broken after less than 4 months. The little plastic " box" that holds one of the magnets that hold the lenses together has cracked making keeping then closed almost impossible. They were always kept in the case as well I .used to buy reading glasses from the pound shop and thought these would be better, but obviously not. Not that cheap at £15 a pair either. Only just started using the second pair but assume they will go the same way

Very disappointing, nothing to do with the product, I'm sure the glasses are fine and would rate at least 4 stars but they are not for me, following a stroke I have good use of one hand only and two hands are needed to fit the two sides together.....Although I can now always have my glasses ready around my neck, I have to ask someone to fit them on for me!! If I look in a mirror I can do it myself but I have to hold the lens and then the lens is dirty and I can't see.Anyone without use of two hands might want to think twice before buying. I will never use these so a complete waste of money.Was very impressed with the speed of delivery and very good packaging

I bought 2 pairs of these glasses, they looked great and worked well for a few days then both pairs broke at the legs in a week or so. Don't buy, poor quality

Great bit of kit. No more glasses dangling down and getting in the way. The only small downside is that over time the magnets come loose and have to be glued back in place.

Quality in all respects except for where the glasses hinge to the frame. Crap hinge system. Guaranteed to weaken and break apart. The only recoverable piece is the loop.

Same problem as before. Will have to think twice befote buying any more
