Christophe Robin Temporary Color Gel - 3.4 fl. oz.

I am severely allergic to PPD/PTD. This is the best temporary color I’ve found to cover grays and give my hair a fantastic shiny color. I’ve tried several others and this BY FAR is the easiest to apply and leaves my hair feeling silkier than before the color. It will wash out a little bit with each wash but it lasts longer than others. Also with other products, I needed to supplement the gray coverage with other things like root touch up spray. But with this dye, I hardly use that at all until maybe the week before needing to dye again so my hair feels more natural and less gunked up with stuff. I can get about a month of amazing color (with limited hair washing) before needing to dye again. Highly recommend giving this product a try if you have a PPD allergy like me and want to hide grays. One thing to know, be ready to immediately clean your sink or tub after using this dye with an abrasive powder cleaner and scrub brush to prevent staining. I do this each time and my tub is still white!

Some very imaportant things to know... they suggest in the “tips” to put a mask on the remaining hair- DO IT! They also say the color may take in porous hair- YES IT DOES! (I found out my hair must have high porosity) The gray root coverage hardly worked. I am so frustrated. I left the color on my roots for 20 mins longer than in the directions & I still see grays! Leave on double time or longer & apply heat as suggested. Unfortunately, I thought I do an “alternative” look since I’m growing out my natural hair color. I had very long red hair (dyed but looked natural) and I had grown my roots out about 3 inches. So my idea was to cover the roots and bring down a few strips of brown into the red. Sort of like a balayage. By the time I brought the color down into the length, I realized it was going to be too difficult to apply the hair mask (you have to provide your own) so I skipped it. That was a big mistake! When I washed the brown dye out, the rest of my red hair as well became brown. The hair I did not apply the dye to had better coverage than my grays. And to top it off it’s not a pretty brown. The results- I have a putrid brown color that won’t wash out of the length and with every wash my grays are coming out more. The brown lightens in the length somewhat too but I don’t think I’ll ever get the red back. It’s been 6 washings & it’s gone from a dark brown/black to a lighter dark brown. If you learned anything from me- put a hair mask on your length and keep on the grays longer than called for in the directions! It is a very dark color on previously dyed hair but not as dark on my natural hair. Good luck!

I have short and thick dark brown hairs and about 10-20% grays focusing on the front. After the patch test, I used the product following the instruction. After 40-50 min, I rinse very carefully. In my case, this product covers about 50-60% of grays, and some of them look like very dark gray, not black. Fine for me, and it covers grays better than I expected actually. I feel that my hairs get dry a bit, but not seriously. The color seems to be pretty dark, almost black, but fine for me. I observe more grays (in almost white or very light gray color) after 3rd shampoo, so need to use my usual touch-up product a little to cover grays. After 5th shampoo, I can see more grays. The color remains longer than 5 days, but gradually disappears from 3rd shampoo. In my case it takes about 1.5-2 hours from the preparation and clean up, so I do not want to repeat this every week. I use this product twice (1 bottle) and I guess I the amount is enough for me to use it 3 and half times coloring. Here's my opinion. I may use this product if I need to cover my grays longer than 2 weeks but less than 4 weeks between salon appointments. I think it would be better for me to use my touch-up product for shorter than 2 weeks period and use usual color product for longer than 4-5 weeks period. However, if you have long and lots of grays to cover, this product still can be more useful than touch-up products. Smells fine for me (very minor) and easy to apply.

I am a great fan of Robin's products and faithfully buy shampoos, conditioners and masks and will continue to do so. However the Temporary Gel is a disaster. It doesn't cover gray hair (even when leaving it for a long time) and if it does it turns hair a strange purple. Will never buy again.

This product is fantastic. I'm very happy with the consistency, the smell, the application, and the result. I have salt and pepper hair, 100% grey on top. This gel colored the greys completely down to the roots and looked natural. I wasn't thrilled with the color, though. I used the dark chestnut and it turned out much more red than the picture showed. Red does not go with my skin tone. I wish they had more variety of colors. I would try any color that wasn't brassy. I'm debating whether to try the light chestnut or golden blond. The picture of the golden blond looks red, but the light chestnut does not.

This is good for very temporary gray coverage but it stained my shower pretty badly. Still trying to figure out how to get rid of the stains.

I tried this product twice. Left on longer the 2nd time and it did not cover gray roots. It made them a darker silver with a blonde/yellowish tone. Washed out after one rinse. I went back to L’Oréal temporary spray for now. Works great and lasts about 2 washes and much cheaper to use.

I love Mister Christophe and his potion! This is really nice and lasts long for me. I have tried 3 of the colours offered and all smell and feel so awesome. It’s a bit pricey but a little goes a long way. It leaves the hair so rich and vibrant and not feeling coated. I usually wait for the price to come down a bit them scoop up a few and it lasts me all year long.. can cover grey so excellent. No kidding this guy knows his colour!

Copre bene i capelli bianchi, dura un paio di settimane ,è molto cremoso per cui si applica molto bene,non brucia ,non pizzica,e non cola.Il colore castano è proprio bello, si può aumentare l'intensità del colore lasciandolo più o meno tempo in posa,molto soddisfatta

C'est cher, mais je n'ai pas trouvé d'équivalent ailleurs.

En fait je ne mets quasiment jamais d avis sur les produits . Mais celui ci est une pure arnaque. Aucun je dis bien aucun rendu sur mes cheveux gris et j ai laissé ce produit une heure. Donc les 28 euros pour une daube pareil je vous assure que vous pouvez les investir ailleurs

Etant allergique aux colorations, c'est le seul produit qui couvre à peu près bien les cheveux blancs Je le recommande
