LONTAN 10 Pairs Soft Close Drawer Slides 22 Inch Heavy Duty Cabinet Rails

I just finished a remodel of our kitchen where I replaced all of our lower cabinets with drawers using the Lontan soft close full extension drawers (30 drawers in total). All work well and the kitchen is now so much more usable. No longer getting on my knees and rummaging around in the back of a cabinet. The drawer slides can be a bit tricky to install, since everything needs to be lined up precisely for them to roll smoothly. So, here's a few tips based on my experience. 1) Get a jig to install the drawer slides (I used the Kreg drawer slide jig and it worked great). 2) Install the first slide using a right angle to make sure the slide is perpendicular to the cabinet front. 3) Cut a spacer out of a piece of scrap wood to use to make sure the 2 slides are the same distance apart from front to back. The spacer should be the width of your drawer. 4) Make sure the slide brackets that are attached to the drawer are parallel. If these brackets are angling slightly down or slightly up, they can cause the soft close mechanism to fail on one or both sides. This problem has been pointed out by a number of reviewers. The result is the drawer will close to about a quarter inch, but not all the way. Making sure the slides are parallel with the bottom of the drawer resolves this problem. Hope this helps. I rarely do reviews - but I am impressed. These are very sturdy and well constructed. I changed out my old traditional slides with these, along with soft close hinges and it's like I have new cabinets! I am in construction, but they were fairly simple to install - instead of making marks inside the cabinet - I relied on a level. On the drawers the 1.25" mark recommended worked great - however all cabinets are not equal. Also - you may have to shim the glides with washers if your drawers/frames are a little off. You'll know right away because the drawer won't slide right, or even begin to fit. I'd definitely recommend these - but I'd say you'll need patience and the ability to get up and down often.

Will update for the longevity review later.****************************I went thru pages of review and QAs on various sellers and ended up bought it from this one. 10pairs for 10 drawers. I received it on Sat. and immediately get on it for installation. The package is well packed - all 10 pairs fit in a good carton box. Each pair has individual package as well. I carefully opened each of them to inspect for the soft closing and self closing mechanism to ensure I don't waste time install a bad one that needs to be removed later. All are good at this point, however, one slide has a ball bearing pops out at the middle of installation. Wrote to the seller (Sunday). Hope to hear back from them soon.Installation is fairly easy. My cabinet has frame and has the Euro style slides and the drawer is 5/8" thick, so I have to use the old screws since the screws that come with it is a tap longer for drawer. A bit of advice is to buy one of those slide jig. They come in really handy. Once the slide jig is set, all I have to do is to double check the levelness between slides, and make sure they are in parallel. Then mark the line for the rear bracket (bought it from the same seller too). then secure the bracket. That's it. I am doing it the first time, and 9 drawers in 2 days, could have been 10 but one slide is defect.The hardest part for me was when I try to put screw to the bracket. The screw keeps dropping from my drill bit. I spent lots of time find the screw, refit screw to the drill bit and carefully extend my arm thru the cabinet to put screw in. The 23" depth cabinet is not helping in this situation either.The drawer slides are all self closing and soft closing. Slide will pull itself back in on the last inch or so of the movement when closing. For opening, some of them are a tap stiffer than others when opening, but all are pretty acceptable. Once drawer overcome the force, it will glide right out smoothly. I do, however, find that the second section of slide extender is a bit more stiff then the first - just in case you are not familiar, this full extension slide has two extender. I am hoping they will get better overtime. Now the question for me will be - how long will they last....For anyone that is considering this kind of project, I would say don't wait - just do it. You will love the soft close and self closing drawer.I will update how my warranty request goes later.

Used these to replace twenty year old "Euro style" rails on framed cabinets with the available back mount bracket. If there's a downside to using these as replacements is that there's a lot less tolerance for small differences in the rail mounting. Once I got them dialed in for my particular cabinets everything worked fine.Quality seems good for the price, but I can't compare the look of soft close mechanism to other brands so we'll see how long the pistons last. They are very smooth if you install them very accurately, however they are fairly "heavy" feeling in operation. It takes purposeful movement to open or close, which takes some getting used to over cheap resistance less slides. It also has a catch point where if you don't push the drawer back all the way it doesn't engage the soft close and finish closing the drawer. For retrofit slides in our older cabinets, these are good.

Pros: Very simple update to our kitchen. Great quality. I jokingly describe them as hard close slides because they stop me from slamming them shut like I used to. A bit of a learning curve for me. I have to deliberately guide them all the way closed or they stop. My husband finds this as a pro... me not so much lolCons: listing want very clear that they didn't come with the mounting brackets. We figured it out once it arrived and had to place order for brackets which delayed our project.

I remodeled my kitchen and didn't want to go cheap on drawer hardware. Everything looked good on these and initially they worked well. Then I started to have problems with them. There was a very weak plastic part in the very rear that failed on several units. They were under warranty at the time and Amazon sent me as many new ones as I had originally ordered. The problem is, at that time, many of them had not failed yet so I replaced what was bad and sent the rest back. Well, now over a year later, several more have failed. I did notice that the new replacement ones are made much better, the plastic piece that broke is now made of metal. Aside from the cost to replace them, there is the time to take them all apart and you have to put both pieces on new, they won't work with just the main part, I tried. And the screw holes are not in the same place as well so you have to make sure they are level. So far, the ones I replaced months ago have held up but the first ones were complete junk. I wished I could get my money back or get them replaced. They were just made horribly bad.

Okay these are great , however theyre also hell. Do not bother trying to put these in without jigs unless you want to spend 2 months on it. I ordered these kreg drawer jigs with the clamps and I got 3 drawers done in like an hour where I spent like 4 hours the other night trying to do one drawer without it. These have to be perfectly aligned there is no wiggle room for measurement mismatch, get a jig so you dont hate your life.Also my cabinets dont have a wood shim between the face plate on the cabinet body and where the slides go, as you see they have to float, so if yours are similar you need to also buy the mounting brackets for the back of the slides seperate, they dont come in this.

Amazing products. Quite heavy-duty and works pretty smooth. Installation was easy and it's easy for DIY. Definitely will be buying more!

I ordered 30 of the 24’’ and 20 of the 14’’. When I received them I checked them all for quality of assembly and to see if the soft close worked properly. Everything was perfect and well lubricated. The little pin for the soft close is metal. I’m glad I bought them.

The plastic soft close mechanism broke before installation was finished. I was VERY careful. But the plastic just failed. The product description said it had been upgraded with metal. But this is NOT TRUE.
