Using it is a real work of art
I needed a replacement for my old 100m laser measure, and since I may only work another year or two I thought rather than spending hundreds on another Bosch I would try a cheap Chinese unit which might just do the job. The jury is out on whether it will, or whether I'll have to splash out for another Bosch. The problem is that getting the controls on this to do what you want is a real work of art. There is a definite knack to it - which I am slowly acquiring. Pressing 'on' to activate the laser works fine - but frequently brings up an unwanted measurement until you get the knack of the right speed and pressure press (yes, this is not straightforward!). Taking measurements is also a work of art, requiring a short, sharp press. Too long a press and you won't get a measurement at all. That could drive you crazy when you're working! Because I haven't used it for work yet I can't comment on the distance or accuracy.Biggest problem - when the screen backlighting shuts down, which it does pretty quickly after you've taken measurements, the black numerals on a dark grey screen are almost unreadable. The screen background on a Bosch is light grey so easier to read, and a gentle touch will bring on the backlighting again, which this product can't seem to do. A quick touch on the controls on this product just deletes all the measurements you've taken! This is a major issue, and will ultimately determine whether this product will see me through, or whether I'll have to splash out on another Bosch. You get what you pay for!

Its hands on usability analysis
I have been using this laser measure for few weeks now. initially it was little bit odd to get use to from my conventional tape measure. but I have to say it become really handy when I got used to it.few features I like is- This can display about 4 measures on display so didn't have to use a paper and pen for small measures.- The square footage calculation is handy some times.- measuring unit change also really helpful.Drawbacks I notice is,- I'm really conscious the accuracy, since I only use to tape measure.- levelling need to be little bit attention before measuring, but get use to it after while.overall it's a handy tool to have if you do need a measure daily.

Useful tool
I'm truly impressed with this little tool. Easy to use and lightweight. I measured 114 metres with incredible accuracy. The only drawback is that its virtually unusable in broad sunny daylight but it works well outdoors with overcast clouds or in the evening. Value for money when compared to other recognised brands.

Great bit of kit
Amazing piece of kit at an amazing low price..very very accurate even over long distances....if you intend to buy this for long distance do yourself a favour and buy a budget tripod to go with it !Not really usable on very sunny days over long distance as near impossible to see the Lazer but I think you would get that with any device like this ..although using a tripod helps greatly...keeping a Lazer dot on a target at 130m by hand is near impossible !

Lovely addition to toolbox
Nice unit with many features. Very accurate measuring against a tape measure. Downside when using it outside, if the wall is uneven it will not read. I tried to use it on a sunny day even using their white reflective unit it would not read at 8 metres. Pointed it at a skimmed wall and even at 5 metres it would not read. In the house however it performed every time and at 8 metres the reading was instant. For outside forget it, inside really worth it.

very handy tool
would have loved to use it for outdoor work, but it was a challenge , and would have also loved if it could read as you move before locking on a measurement. otherwise, it's a good buy, works well indoors

Does what it says
It does the job and measures things. Best use indoors and over shorter distances because of natural wobbles in aiming the laser

Good value
Excellent for money. A little fiddly to measure with and light goes off whilst taking measurement which can be a little confusing. Good outside and for taking long measurements compared to my old Leica one
