Fort Worth, TX Street Guide Spiral-bound – June 21, 2013

My husband bought this for his work. He's a bit of a throwback to the 20th century. He still had a FLIP PHONE until recently. So no Google Maps for him. He has a job that requires him to drive all over North Texas and he kept getting lost. Especially in Fort Worth where so much has changed over the last few years. So, we bought this Street Guide. It WAS helpful. However, even being fairly new...it was still out of date. It's not Mapsco's fault. It's just the city of Fort Worth is growing so fast and so much... The Hubster ended up FINALLY entering the 21st century and got a smart phone. He is still using the Mapsco, but, when he can't find what he wants there he uses his smart phone now. The Mapsco is a wonderful resource...it's just...well it's a little past it's prime.

The description is incorrect - or at best it's misleading. It implies these maps were updated in September 2014, and I found it is missing a LOT of new streets and highways, including the ENTIRE express interstate system to DFW Airport. That's a big omission, and a lot of little ones. As best I can tell the data wasn't updated since about 2009. It's got limited utility but I decided to keep my copy. Buyers should beware it's not up to date, especially when finding your way around all the areas that have new homes, etc. Or trying to find the airport. Same goes for the companion Dallas spiral bound map book from this publisher.

Where older mapsco's street addresses came with zip codes, the book does not have zip codes

My Mapsco was years old and this is a good update.
