SubstrateSource 'Telanthera Cardinalis' Alternanthera reineckii Live Aquatic Aquarium Plant

Not many leaves on the stems. Stems were sturdy enough to plant in substrate, but could have had better roots. Maybe good enough to get the plants started. These plants need plenty of light and are very sensitive to pH changes.

Arrived healthy but died pretty quickly after placement. May have been me, but the other plants survived...

Most of it was dead on arrival and all of it was dead within a few days. I think the cold weather must have killed them. SubstrateSource replaced the dead plants with new ones, and they are still alive in my tank!

Hard to grow.

I gave it some time to transition and Mine completely melted and turned to mush also it didnt come potted. Kinda disappointed.

My 3 plants arrived today and I was very pleased with the color of the leaves and the packaging of the plants. These are cuttings from a rooted plant that have been in water for at least a week. There were lots of stems per plant, so even though i was expecting a more establish plant, I feel pretty good about the success rate. One plant looked a little more "fresh" from a mother plant than the other two. The other two had a few roots growing from the sides.

Plants are shipped well bagged but without water. Some deal with this better than others. This one arrived looking "squishy" shed all leaves within three days. Waiting to see if it survives.
