It sounds great, looks great, and saves space on the pedal board. It also holds the pedals in place more than a cord. It doesn't work for all pedals, as some have connectors on the top and not the side. But when 2 pedals have side connectors with close to the same height then this connects them more firmly and closer than a patch cable can. The offset allows for connecting pedals from different manufactures whose side connectors don't perfectly line up. This won't connect every pedal, as some pedals have side connectors that are very high or very low, but it works for most pedals with side connectors.

Did the job fine!

If you have Boss-size pedals and you want them very close together, this is the way to do it. They work better than the straight ones because if the 1/4” connectors aren’t at the same height, the offfset allows you to connect anyway. One rather huge caveat: If your power connectors are on the side rather than the top of the pedal, these will probably put the pedals *too* close together.

I am really impressed with the quality of these Z connectors. There is no drop-off in sound or signal quality compared to the expensive jumper cables.

I have a full-featured pedalboard that needed a short signal path and tight/clean mounting for 14 stompboxes on board. Why 14? It's an "everything" board for orchestral prog, psychedelic and shoegaze styles. Here's the chain in engineering order: Dynamic stage: Noise Gate--> Compressor--> Filter Stage: Volume (with digital tuner outboard--> Wah--> Gain Stage: Overdrive--> Modulation Stage: Chorus/Vibe--> Switchable Phaser--> Tape flange--> Modulation/Time Bridge: Circuit Bender/Delay--> Time Stage: Tape Echo/Delay--> Drum Echo/Delay--> Plate Reverb-> Looper. These couplers, plus a few more, did exactly what I needed them to. When all was said and done, I reduced the length of the signal chain by a full meter using little couplers like these. If you only have three or four pedals couplers are probably not necessary, but with a high versatility shoegazer you can't really shouldn't do without them.

Try before you buy. They seem like a perfect solution for tight spots but the bullet-proof hardware that make them so great also makes them hard to attach to your pedal board. The pedals don't line up perfectly if you use different manufacturers. I ended up preferring shoe-lace thin flexible ones.

If you have limited space on your pedalboard, this seems like a great idea. Unfortunately, it does not work well if you use different brands of pedals. Some will not sit flush on your board. The holes do not line up properly. I just got an mxr pedal and the 9v port is on the side where this is supposed to go.

Not a lot to say except they are good quality and work well, especially with the female port offset on newer pedals. My pedal board is very busy so using these let me test a series of pedals and when satisfied, but pick them all up and press their already loop covered bottoms on the board without pulling them apart.
