Great Buy, Nice Sound
I bought this harp for my 9 year old daughter who just started harp lessons. It was one of two harps recommended by her instructor in our price range. The box that the harp arrived in was much too large with far too little padding. I almost expected the harp to be in two pieces when we opened it, but surprisingly it was intact. The harp did have two minor scratches, but for the price we are willing to live with it. It came with a book with some tips on maintenance and getting started.I was disappointed that the tuning wrench did not come with it, but for now we are using an 8-point 3/16" socket while we wait for the proper tuning wrench to arrive from the harpsicle company. After 2 days, it is staying tuned well with only minor adjustments needed. We purchased the base stand (sold separately) and attached a guitar strap that we already had. My daughter enjoys practicing on it and finds the small size and weight less cumbersome than some larger harps. Overall, the price was great and the sound is nice for the size.

Beautiful, precision built, professional quality instrument.
This portable lever harp, for its modest size, has a lovely sound and great flexibility. I improvise/compose on this on a daily basis. Would highly recommend investing the time necessary to master this superb instrument.....highly rewarding.

Bad packaging and sound for the price.
My single biggest complaint is packaging. The harp was packaged in a box that could easily hold 3 of the harps. There was no padding outside of some paper, but the harp could still move around freely. As a result, the harp has numerous little dents and marks on it.As far as the harp itself, I'm not pleased with the sound quality. It is more of a personal preference in sound than anything else.It is lightweight and easy to transport. I see why it is considered a beginners harp. Definitely more for a child wanting to learn as it can take a beating(as demonstrated in shipping) but sound quality was sacrificed as a result of wood choices.Compared to some lower end harps that are production made and cost less than half that of this fullsicle harp by Rees, I don't notice much of a difference, if any. I definitely overpaid considering the quality.

Best buy.
I purchased this as a Christmas present for my wife. She hasn't opened it yet. I don't know anything about it, but this was the top rated Celtic harp for the money by those who play. I did the research.Well, its after Christmas and my wife loves the harp.

Happy with purchase. Too bad I don't have a dog.
Harp arrived in perfect condition and, the tuning wrench was included with the order. Not sure why there were bits of dry dog food in the box though. To absorb moisture maybe?

Missing items
I agree with another review...no tuning tool included. Lucky for me, this is my second harp. But i think one should be included. Anyway...its a beautiful. Fast and speedy delivery. I would suggest anyone buying this instrument, get a stand AND a shoulder strap. Both do not come with this purchase.

Good sound, lightweight
Four stars only because it has a dent. Otherwise, this is the harp I have been looking for. Good sound, lightweight, and fit to travel. Came with the tuning wrench (which was good since the one for my pedal harp was a little big for the pegs)
