Sturdy and Clean. Slightly difficult to install.
This phone case is extremely sturdy feeling and looks clean. The side of the case (bezels) are definitely high enough to protect your screen from fall damage. It does add a bit of bulkiness to the phone, but nothing that would make it uncomfortable to slide in my front pocket. My only complaint was how hard it was to open the interior "hard shell" by hand. After screwing up one of my fingers, I elected to use a butter knife and found that it was vastly easier to open.Would definitely recommend this case to anyone.

Works well for a clumsy phone owner (Google Pixel 3)
I previously had the Commuter case on my Samsung S6 and it saved that phone's life for 3 years. After reading horror stories of folks cracking their Google Pixel 3 screens days (or even hours) after owning it, I decided to purchase the heavier duty case for my new phone. I've had the case on the phone for 2 solid months, and it's done the job. I don't feel as though the phone is too bulky and it has handled multiple drops beautifully. I had to remove the case yesterday to place a magnet inside for my car holder and it was very easy to remove. The power and volume buttons work well, and I've had no issues with fingerprint or camera obstruction. Well worth the money spent as my phone is extremely secure.

Great Case
Great case. Full access to every function of the Pixel 3 still, including fingerprint scanner and squeeze for Google Assistant. The case edges makes it so if you place it screen down the screen doesn't touch the surface you put it down on. Well made, good look, easy to hold. Phone wont slide out of my hoodie pocket anymore.

Almost Perfect! - Please Read!
The case itself deserves 5 stars. - It fits my Pixel 3 perfectly, everything lines up as it should, and it protects the phone, and holds it securely - as would be expected from an Otterbox product. The holster on the other hand, deserves one star, and that is only because it holds the phone VERY securely, probably a bit too securely in my opinion. It's a bit fumbly to release the phone from the holster, and re-securing the phone takes a LOT of effort to snap it fully into the holster. The clip actually clicks twice when securing the phone, so if you don't snap it in all the way, it may allow the phone to fall out of the holster. Perhaps if you live like a Borg and have bluetooth everything, and never need to remove your phone from the holster, this may be good. I would have preferred a spring clip style holster over style supplied, which secures the phone with a rigid plastic tab.

Typical for an Otterbox Defender
I had a Defender for both my old Galaxy S4 and S5, and those phones never took any kind of fall damage. I switched from the S4 to the S5 after a couple of years (carrier switch), and then had the S5 for nearly 7 years before it finally died from water intrusion around the USB port (the gasket must have finally given out). The case absolutely saved me from replacement several times. The screen never took so much as a scratch on either phone - not even once.So now I've got another one for my new Pixel 3, and I feel like it's going to do just as well as the old ones did at protecting my phone. It doesn't have the plastic screen protector built-in like older Defenders did, but I got an ArmorSuit Military Shield that more or less offers the same kind of scratch protection (if not much better) for not a lot of extra cost.I have medium-sized hands and never felt like the Defenders were unnecessarily bulky or uncomfortable to hold. This one is a little bit thinner than my S5 was as well (since the non-XL Pixel 3 is a bit smaller). If you want a really slim or stylish case, this isn't it, but it's not absurdly large like some people claim. And it absolutely will protect your phone if my previous near-decade of experience is anything to go by. To me, that's the whole reason for having a case, so I'm perfectly fine with a thicker profile in my pocket.

Thick but sturdy
I had cracked the back of my phone on some cute but flimsy $10 phone case off amazon previously. After paying nearly $200 to get it repaired I chose this phone case as I had bought two otterboxes for previous phones and loved them. While it does make the slim google pixel 3 look like a brick, it protects it like the tank it is. Noted I have only dropped it a few times and have only had it for a short while, but I can already tell that my phone feels really protected. You will quickly adjust to its chunky feel after a week or two so it is not a deal breaker. And I'd rather have a chunky phone than a broken phone.

Typically great OtterBox case.
Got a new phone, but was relieved to acquire the same Defender series case for it. It's already survived a few drops onto concrete with no damage to phone or case. It was nice not to have to cut out an unwanted plastic screen cover. Thanks OtterBox!I've found no obstruction to the fingerprint reader OR my wireless charger. I use a glass screen protector and had a bit of trouble clearing the plastic case. I finally figured out to use the installed phone case as a guide, which solved the issue.

Nice Pixel 3 case
Feels good. Tight fit on phone. Raised edges around screen prevent phone screen from contacting flat surfaces and has minimal impact on side/edge swiping as the Pixel 3 does have a bezel around the active area of the screen. Finger print reader opening on the back has no issues with finding, positioning, or reading finger. Advanced features such as flicking the reader to access notifications is impacted due to raised upper edge of the opening, but it is possible to perform actions, but often fails to register on first attempt. The case feels soft overall in the hand and doesn't have a hard plastic feel. USB C charging port cover flips upward to allow insertion of charging cable, however it can't really be done with one hand. Wireless charging would be the way to go if battery life diminishes.
