The CHP rating is measured in laboratory testing using a dynamometer, which measures the mechanical power of the motor. The CHP rating does not denote the operational horsepower of the treadmill in ordinary household use. In ordinary household use, the motor does not operate at the horsepower shown. *Continuous Horsepower ("CHP") is a term used in the treadmill industry for consumer comparison purposes. Use it every day, lost weight, but it broke for 1 month
Used the treadmill every day for about 4 months then the display and computer shorted out. Treadmill would not turn on at all. Call the company and the replaced it. It took about 1 month to get the replace part. My husband installed the part and it has been working without issue for about 3 months now.

I'm in love with my treadmill
I'm in love with my treadmill. It's easy to use and I am able to use it with my Zwift app using a foot pod. It's pretty big but I love it!

It squeaks way too much and I keep calling the manufacture and they ask me to take parts off to isolate where the squeaking is only to have my take about 1/4 of it apart to not be able to give me an answer

squeaks!
The negatives: it squeaks badly, the User interface is badly designed (Clearly no designers were involved in this), The delivery was horrible (amazon left it on my doorstep and weren't able to carry it up to my apartment). The positives: wide track, retractable.

18 months later.
I bought this at Scheel's sporting goods. I did a ton of research before I made my purchase and the sale price of $999 was the clincher. So far I am really enjoying this treadmill, but I plan on following up when I've put some good miles on it. Running on this is smooth and has good deflection without being bouncy. The fans are pointed at just the right angle for me, I'm 6' tall. Speed changes are quick enough, but the elevation change seems rather slow to me. The elevation is nice going from -3° to +12°. I'm still trying to figure out how the programs work (yes, eventually I'll read the instructions) but I'd like them to be simple enough to basically jump on and use them, that's my reason or four stars and not five. I don't plan on using any of the ifit features as I'm not going to pay for it. Definitely need two people to move this thing around when it's in the box, but I put it together by my self and if you have any basic mechanical knowledge, can read and interpret directions and are willing to take your time this treadmill is really easy to put together in about 2 hours. That beats the 12 days for delivery and assembly from the store (obviously nothing to do with the treadmill itself). The speakers in the display panel are okay, but if your an audiophile you won't be happy with them. For me, listening to Metalica, they're just fine.Developed the dreaded squeak. BUT, when I sent a email to Icon Fitness there customer service Dept get right back to me and continued to communicate with me until I got it fixed. Oh, and if you've come up with the squeaking, mine was in the hinge that allows the deck to fold up.Figured out the preset programs and there are some seriously brutal work outs. Rating has been increased to 5 stars.

Great treadmill!
Have had mine for a week. Works great. My husband put it together by himself in less than 2 hours. Very quiet, easy to raise/lower, nice display. Tablet holder is ample size and the speakers work well. The dual fans are well placed and blow nicely. Haven't worked my way up to any of the preprogrammed workouts but they look fun. The heart rate sensor is nice to have, didn't have one with my last treadmill. I really like that it has a -3 downhill incline (or decline) for cooldown after walking. The belt is very comfortable to walk on with good shocks. Overall, the frame is sturdy and sound. I feel like I got a great deal on this and would recommend it. Only putting 4 stars since I have only had it for a week.

Customer Service not helpful
Lots of features for the price. However, after one year the incline on mine would intermittently increase to maximum height in the middle of my workout. The manufacturers labor and parts warranty is for two years but, you really have to document every complaint to get their attention. Even then they will try to avoid the repair costs by telling you that the problem is yours to fix.. The phone number for service is always busy and wait times are really long.
