Not bad. It's a great workbook to go along with all the strategies in Notice and Note. Graphic organizers, reminders and tips.Thin wire binding, kind of floppy - should make photocopying items for kids who make mistakes often (practice sheets) easy.

This log and its companion book, Notice and Note, provide teachers and students with clear road maps for navigating texts more deeply. Instead of rushing through a book to find out what will happen next in the plot, readers will learn to stop and notice what is motivating the characters. As a result, the act of reading will become a richer experience.

My students love to log and find Signposts. This journal was very helpful for them.

This is a companion log to the Notice and Note reading strategy book. I have also reviewed it, and recommend it. I recommend that you read that book first and determine if you are intrigued by the strategy before you purchase this item.

The purpose and mini lessons for students in the first part of this book are excellent! There are plenty of opportunities for kids to write about what they read. Vocabulary mixed in -- it's all there!
