Energizer Weatheready Radio Crank Light

It was a gift sent away in a backpack for underprivileged children, so I do not know how well it worked. Just rating based looks and assuming it works as described.

All plastic body works well and compact enough to fit in pocket. Radio works well, plenty of volume, and as is siren.Crank is on bottom and easily opens. Spin with a gentle hand, no need to overcrank, so take it slow and should last for several years.As is goes, plastic will eventually weaken even if it's not used, so buy a replacement every three years or so and don't leave in the sunlight or heat.If they ever release an aluminum version of this device with metal gears - sign me up, even at triple the price. Being plastic is not too bad either and if I ever need it as it is today - this thing could some day save my life.

I receive one defective? Or is really bad? Light is nothing and radio until now, I don't know if works.

I was very disappointed in this product. I had purchased their "Energizer Weatheready 3-LED Carabineer Rechargeable Crank Light, Red" and it was excellent. This product has a very weak light and the radio is very difficult to tune in. I don't know how it does it but the radio once tuned in is very tough on the ears. Possibly if you are outside it is OK? Sadly this was a waste of money for me.

very handy !! carry around radio and flashlight whenever you want to catch up with news I carry it out to the garden !!

Nice little emergency flashlight.

Although I like this device's concept and its size is not too cumbersome for a flashlight within 10 seconds of cranking the handle it fell off the unit, rendering it useless. I cannot think of another product I have purchased that broke so quickly and I wasn't applying excess force or anything when cranking it; it's just shoddily made.While I may have received a defective unit I would not trust this item under any circumstances, especially not during an emergency. I would highly advise you to consider other options and not purchase this product if you're looking for something that's going to withstand being used and is going to last more than a few seconds.

Seller is very communicative. Excellent packaging. I love this small radio. Can't beat the price!
