very nice pens
These are very nice pens. They write smoothly and the ink dries quickly, which is especially good for left-handed people. The pens are a little thicker than some other pens, but they are still comfortable to hold. You can buy this pen in a variety of colors. We have black, blue, and red and all are great. The pens come with tiny caps on the points to keep the ink from drying out, and you have to remove the cap to write with the pen. The pens have a limited lifetime warranty, and you can buy refills for the pens. The pens are modestly priced, and with the refills, they are even more budget friendly. The availability of refills also makes it possible to reduce the waste you are putting into landfills.

Just about the ideal pen, especially on cheaper paper like notebooks and legal pads
I don't know what Pentel did with this pen, but it's by far the best everyday-use ink I've ever seen in a pen this cheap. This is the pen that will dry faster than all the others, lay darker lines than all the others, and never, ever bleed on even the roughest paper. I take a lot of notes at work and at home, usually on cheap legal pads from Costco, and this has the best price-performance ratio of any pen I've used.I bought these alongside the uni-ball Vision Rollerball Pens, Micro Point (0.5mm), Black, 4 Count and the Pilot Precise V5 RT Retractable Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point, 3-Pack, Black Ink (26052), all in black 0.5mm. I tested them all together and even asked friends and family to test which they liked more - everyone confidently decided that these were the best despite being the cheapest of the three. They write smooth, don't bleed, and dry fast. Not only that, but the lines are confidently darker than the uni-ball Vision and on par with the Precise V5 ink, but without the frequent bleeding, pooling, and slow drying that you sometimes get from liquid inks - Pilot is a particularly egregious offender here if you don't spring for expensive stationery. While the other pens will certainly perform well, especially on nicer paper... they're decidedly more expensive. I got these as an add-on item for $5, which works out to about $1.67 per pen. In addition, you can usually get refills for these pens at around $1 each if you buy in bulk.I felt a little strange for liking these so much, especially since I usually can't stand gel pens, but I reluctantly realized that these simply wrote better than every other pen I had. I can't say much about the build quality or how well the ink will protect you from something like check or signature fraud, though, so consider your options more carefully if that's what you're worried about. In a nutshell, here's my take:Pros:- Never bleeds, even on cheap paper- Dries stupid fast- Surprisingly solid, deep black ink- Flows just as well as comparable liquid ink roller-balls- Dirt cheap considering the qualityCons:- Build quality is questionable - the clip will snap off if you're too rough with it- The grip, while I have no complaints, is a bit thicker than some people with small hands may likeJust go for it. If you take a lot of quick notes, are left handed, or have issues with your ink smearing because it doesn't dry fast enough, this will be the best $5 you spend all month.

Love these pens!
Love writing with these pens. They feel very good when holding but mainly the thick ness and the writing is very smooth and nice.

Great Pen
The Pentel EnerGel Deluxe RTX Retractable Pens are my go-to when it comes to jotting down notes or tackling my to-do list. They come in a pack of three with different colored barrels, which adds a nice touch of variety to my desk.Let's talk about how these pens perform. The 0.5mm needle point tip writes smoothly and precisely, so my notes always look clean and professional. And the blue ink? It's bold and consistent, which I love. One thing I really appreciate is that these pens are retractable. I can easily click the top button to retract the tip, so I never have to worry about making accidental marks when the pen's in my pocket or bag.Comfort-wise, these pens are great too. They fit nicely in my hand, and the textured grip makes them easy to hold, even during long writing sessions.Durability-wise, they're solid. I've been using mine for weeks now, and they still write just as smoothly as when I first got them. For the price, you really can't beat the value. Three quality pens for the price of one? Count me in.Overall, if you're in need of some reliable pens for everyday use, I'd definitely recommend giving the Pentel EnerGel Deluxe RTX Retractable Pens a try. They're affordable, comfortable to use, and they get the job done right.

My everyday gel pens
I have these in 0.7 and I thought they were the exact same, until I bought these in red, and saw how fine the point was which is 0.5, and I prefer them over 0.7, I usually like to write small, and neatly, and the smaller the point is helps. I write a lot everyday, journaling and so on and these are my favorite pens to write with on a daily basis! They are super comfortable, long lasting, love them! Love my red ones too so I would definitely recommend this brand overall. As for the point size, that is mainly personal. I feel like with finer points I’m able to write better, with thicker points I think it has too much ink, and smudges easily, but I don’t have a problem with that with needle points. Also love the color, hadn’t seen violet/purple gel pens before and it’s my favorite color. Love them more than pilot G-2, the flow and everything about these pens is fantastic! Will continue to buy these!

Thickest line of any 0.5mm pen I own
These have the thickest line of any of the 0.5mm tipped pens I have, to where I might guess they were 0.7mm instead, if I wasn't able to verify on the cartridge. Noticeably wider line than my 0.5mm G2 and 0.5mm Uni Jetstream standard, both of which write about the same.Writes very well for what it is, no issues with performance, but I'll probably get the 0.3mm tip if I buy this brand again. If nothing else, they're better looking than my other pens with polished metal bits and no clear plastic, which can be unappealing. One thing to call out might be that these come with the little plastic bead on the tip to keep the ink fresh, that you need to pop off before they'll write. Can usually just use your fingernail, but some people might have difficulty getting those off.
