Decent case, but cheap quality -- breaks easily
I bought the "Satin Black" model of this case, and it fit well, providing just enough of a lip to prevent the screen from touching any surface it might fall on, but also small enough that it doesn't add any noticeable bulk to the phone. The problem is that once you put this case on, it's nearly impossible to pull it off without snapping the case. When gently prying the case off of your phone, you'll feel the cheap plastic bend too much, and like me, feel it snap in your hands, leaving you with bits of broken plastic. After 3 months of use, and it crumbling after the third or fourth time removing it from my phone, I contacted the seller about a return. I would've been fine with trying my luck, and exchanging it for a new one, but sadly they declined. So, buyer beware.PROS:- Slim profile- The right amount of lip on the screen sideCONS:- Hard to pull off of your phone without breaking the case.- When the case breaks, you'll be forced to fork over the money for a new one.Bottom Line: This case is cheap. If you're never going to take it off your phone, it's probably fine, but if you occasionally remove the case, it's probably going to break :(

Most minimalistic case you can get
Great minimalistic case. I think this is the slimmest most minimal case you can get for the 2nd gen Moto X. I had a Diztronic case before this which I liked just fine but I love how thin this one is. Feels great in the hand, some of the seams are a little rough around the edges, I.e. on mine the bottom left of the USB port is a little rough but didn't affect usability at all.Update: I've lowered my initial review of 4 stars down to 3 stars. After only a couple weeks of use, the rubberized grippy finish started to wear off on the sides of the case (the areas where you hold it the most) and underlying plastic layer is showing through.

Very slim, not a ton of protection
This is probably the slimmest cases you can get, covering only the sides and back. The top and bottom of the phone remain exposed, although the case has a lip that comes out slightly from the back to hug the phone. The case also has cutouts for the volume rocker, power button, and rear mic, but not the Moto dimple. The edges of the case project further than the screen, which will keep your screen from getting scratched on any surfaces that you set it down on. It doesn't seem like it would do much to help if you dropped it, but a couple weeks after I got the case, I dropped my Moto X face down on concrete and recovered it without a scratch.

Great fit and finish, however, material not durable
It's a really good case when it comes to fit, finish, and how snug it covers the phone. I couldn't tell if I had a case on after using this - exactly what we need from phone case manufacturers. However, the material is quite brittle and repeated removal and application can crack it. Mine cracked in a couple of weeks as I regular remove it clean the phone. Could have been a 4 / 5 rating if the material was durable.

Little protection for the phone
Good case but offers little protection for phone drops.I returned this and bought a Trident case locally. the Trident case provides much better protection. I have dropped the phone two or three times already with no damage. A screen protector was included with the Trident package. I will now always use a screen protector as they work well and do provide protection to the screen.

Lasts for a little bit
The case fits my moto x2 really well. Only issue is, after a couple of months the shell has cracked and broken off exposing the corners of my phone. It did its job obviously since it protected my phone from cracking but now I need to get another case to keep protecting it.

Great Sleek case
I like how sleek the case is. Yes most likely wont help with a big drop but I hate big cases as these new phone are already quit large. Would have made 5 stars if they would have did the cut-out for the Motorola dimple, not sure why they missed that..

Okay, but not great
Not bad, but not great. The molding left some sharp edges along the corners, which I trimmed with an exacto blade. That smoothed things out, but it's probably not what most people want to do with a brand new product. It's priced well, so I didn't send it back, but I wasn't especially impressed.
