Excellent Indoor Camera
Excellent indoor camera. Easy to configure. Works great with Blue Iris. Good resolution. I have had this camera running for a few months and have had no technical issues. I just applied the first firmware upgrade from Amcrest and it was easy and painless. No issues with firmware upgrade. I like that this camera supports both 2.4 and 5 WiFi Networks. The signal strength is excellent on my 5Ghz WiFi network. I have a total of 2 of these cameras, one that is hard wired to router and one that is running through WiFi. I have setup presets and the cameras retain the position for the presets precisely. The presets can be configured in Blue Iris to match the camera presets. I have the cameras configured at 4.1 MP and Blue Iris is showing a 250 kB/s rate at 15 Frames per second. This is the frame rate I recommend for Blue Iris. Also I have set the key frame interval at 45. While this camera supports H265 I don't recommend that for Blue Iris. Also settings the SmartCodec to On does reduce the bit rate in Blue Iris.Over all this is an excellent choice for an indoor surveillance camera for the price point.

Good Camera... Terrible app software
Amcrest cameras are great but their new android surveillance 2 software is terrible. Half the time the software crashes and runs extremely slow. Many times the cameras won't even show up on the app. And when you are running the Surveillance 2 app, it slows down your entire tablet to the point that you can't use any other apps. The reason I am leaving this one star review is in hope that Amcrest takes notice and fixes the software soon! Also I can not recommend anyone buying these cameras until they fix the app.

Great night vision and picture quality
This cameras features are excellent as a standalone camera. I don't have this integrated with any other surveillance cameras, these are for indoor verification of noises/status checks to help determine how I need to respond.I also have the 2mp version of this camera and for comparison, the image is very similar. In face, due to the reduced video size, the 2mp initializes faster and produces nearly as good of an image for general purposes. The wider angle of this lens is the more useful difference for my needs.I do recommend for a low cost PTZ with really good night vision and picture quality. However, if you don't need as wide of a FOV, the 2mp really is a great option.

Great Hardware, Buggy Software
This is my third Amcrest IP cam. Like the other two, the build quality is excellent. I think it's a major brand [Foscam?] renamed as Amcrest. And the PTZ features are excellent. But this latest Amcrest cam is my best because it has 2.4/5GHz capability. The first two were earlier models, with only 2.4GHz connection capability, and they were a challenge to connect to my Google WiFi home router, the interface of which is dumbed down so admins can't select channels. But Amcrest's browser-based app is clunky and not very user friendly. Unfortunately, you'll need to use it when you want to configure some settings on your cams, especially during setup and config.Amcrest's View Pro mobile app is pretty good, but I recommend tinyCam Pro for viewing and managing your IP Cams on your mobile phone because it's more full-featured and user friendly than the Amcrest View Pro app. And Alexy, the developer of tinyCam, is really knowledgeable and very responsive with customer support. Also, beware of recent reports that some Amcrest IP Cams audio can be hacked by third-parties if not loaded with latest firmware. So be sure to check that out. Hopefully Amcrest support is monitoring this review as they have others, and they will provide some good info on this. By the way, Amcrest support is quite responsive when you need them.Personally, I believe that whenever you buy ANY remotely operated cam, you're privacy is screwed - just read the latest industry reports on the Ring Doorbell cam, it's scary. But these cams are so essential to me that I won't give them up. Instead, I use them with caution, and always with utmost password and security measures to minimize the chance of hacks.Bottom Line: Buy the Amcrest for best hardware build, PTZ features, but use other viewing apps for better experience. In case anyone's wondering, I have NO CONNECTION with either Amcrest or tinyCam, except for my interactions with them as a customer.

Great Camera
This 4MP Amcrest camera is my 4th camera. My first camera was a 2MP bullet camera. I placed it in front of my drive way to see all activity in front of my house. I was amaze by the quality. It lasted 2 years and still working well. I got 2 more indoor 2k camera to use as a baby monitoring. Finally I got this 4MP indoor camera. I will review this 4MP camera only.Pro:1. Great recording quality, night quality is amazing.2. Pan/Tilt, moving the camera is more quiet than 2k model. Also seems to have wider angle viewing.3. Loaded with options that I use (email notification, schedule recording, recording to microSD card, controlled 1 way or 2 way audio).Cons:1. Size if this 4MP camera is definitely bigger than it's earlier model 2k.2. The night vision light is reduced to 2 light, but it's brighter, making it more noticeable at night.Features I would like to see from Amcrest.1. Local viewing mode on app to reduce latency and security (My internet is slow so there seems to be a few second delay when using it as a monitoring device. I am skeptical that I may get hack and this is the camera inside my bedroom. (Dlink has this feature which I missed).Overall, I am adding Amcrest camera because I have used it and is satisfy with it's option and features. It seems well built.
