UPDATE: I peeled the film off in an effort to reuse the mug, and the mug still works! It was just a clear film, and removing it didn't seem to affect the design or color-changing effect. I'm not sure what the film was even for. If the mug starts peeling for you, you can probably remove it and still enjoy your glowing creatures. :)I have the dinosaur mug made by The Unemployed Philosophers Guild, and my husband has been stealing it for years. I bought him this bioluminescence version, assuming it would be of similar quality. Unfortunately, the design began peeling off within a week. He used it a handful of times, and has now moved on the stealing another one of my mugs. Waste of money.

The media could not be loaded.  This mug is pretty great. Not only do I think it’s super cool, but all my kiddos do too. Be aware that it is a hand wash only mug, but that is it’s only down fall. The images appear brightly as hot liquid fills the mug, as the liquid cools it slowly fades. I can tell, just by looking at my cup, if I need to pop it in the microwave to reheat. So fun & super cool

I’d like to return this, I ordered 2 by mistake. Didn’t realize I had a short window for returns.

This mug was super cool... until we started using it. It never went into the dishwasher or microwave, was only hand washed with gentle soap and a soft sponge, yet the stickers (the images are all printed on stickers, not painted onto the mug) on the handle and on the main part of the mug are now peeling off and turning white. I bought this for my husband as a Fathers Day gift, so you can imagine our disappointment at how it turned out. We’ve missed the return window, or it would have gone right back!

I was super excited to drink out of a glowing coffee cup of the finest dark roast while showcasing my spirit marine animal, the jelly fish. HOWEVER, I just warn others of the tragedy that ensued during the unboxing event. There is a PEEL HERE Sticker on the mug. Naturally, I started peeling and the ENTIRE GRAPHIC peeled off leaving me with a plain black mug. I’m still shook over this a month later. Thankfully I remember to log in and rate this beautiful black mug a well deserve 1 star. I never even got to watch the light show :(

My son loves the mug, but it has two small finish chips.
