Protect your dog and your home from dangerous parasites. Applied as a single spot, Parastar Plus spreads across the skin into the oil glands to be released over time, resulting in fast-acting and long-lasting control of ticks, fleas and chewing lice for 30 days. Still battling fleas
I've used other name brand treat men's like Frontline & K9 Advantix, I thought I would give this brand a try. Day 2, my dog is still itching from fleas. I gave her a bath using blue dawn dish soap, the next day I put the flea medicine on her. Im still finding a lot of fleas on her, it's as if the flea medal aren't evendors on her. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone, spend a little more for something you know works.

Works well, at least up north
Can't say we never found a tick, but at least very, very rarely found an engorged one on our dog while using Parastar Plus., despite daily hikes in the woods in a heavily infested area. No fleas either, that is, until wintering in SC this year. On an incidental visit he vet noticed a few fleas and suggested that down south an oral product is needed for optimum effectiveness. 'Charlie' seemed less active than usual for several weeks after the oral product. Could be his age or the warmer temps, but we'll take no chances and go back to Parastar Plus when we head north.

Love parastar plus
Love this brand. Keeps fleas and ticks off my baby always! And it doesn’t make her sick or anything either. Wouldn’t want to get any other brand but this, Its shown to be an extremely trustworthy brand.

does the job
and is cheaper than Frontline and has the same active ingredients in the same proportions. I hate using pesticides on my dogs, but was forced to do so this summer...lots of ticks! This does a good job at keeping them away and killing ones they already have...I'm glad to find dead ticks.

Proceed with caution, may cost you more money
We used it as a preventative, not to combat existing fleas. It made my dogs insane for over week and cost me an additional $100 in vet bills since they needed a prescription to stop itching. The itching was so bad my dogs had scabs on their backs from scratching. Not a useful product.
