Amazon Basics Professional LED E14 Small Edison Screw Candle Bulb, 40W equivalent, Clear Filament Glass, Dimmable- Pack of 6

Bought a bunch of those and 6 months ago and they are starting to die just as pretty much any other E14 size LED I bought on Amazon. That's: 6 months x 30 days x 6 hours = about 1,080 hours of longevity.Since we are all about profit I shoudn't be surprised that environment doesn't really matter but at least I expected that Amazon-branded bulbs would last longer than no-names sold on this website. Nope, looks like philosophy of profit uber alles wins again. I'm surprised that scamming people like that has gone on for so long and nobody talks about this. Writing things like "30,000 hours" in longevity section should be banned as unfair market practice but I guess our corrupt governments help with this in the name of ecology (sic!) so not much can be done.

I bought this six pack to use with four John Lewis table lamps that come with a dimming base. Although they would be acceptable in a conventional on/off light fitting, they do not display as expected. With the premium Philips LED bulbs recommended by the store, there are four settings — off/dim/medium and bright.These AmazonBasics Professional LED E14s have just two settings in addition to off - bright and brighter. They are fine in non-dimming fittings, which is why I have kept them. I cannot vouch for longevity but I would expect them to be very good in comparison with incandescent bulbs. However, it seems that, as always, you get what you pay twice the price for - if you want universal dimmer functionality, try another brand.

Bulbs look nice and come well packaged. Seemed ok at first, using five to light our double height kitchen with fixed switch not a dimmer. As we've got used to them is become really noticeable have variable the light output is. At times they are really very very dim - probably less than half their maximum. Have tried in other fittings and they behave the same way, other bulbs do not. Having to return as really need something that is reliable!

Bulbs are completely different from what was advertised. Label was correct, but actual performance was horrible. They claim to be 8W, but actually were starting at 3.5W and then slowly warming up to 5W (measured). Also they claim 800lm while 600lm bulbs from Ikea and 550lm from Philips are way brighter than these. Light color also felt less than 2700K, but have no way to measure this.

Love these oversized bulbs, go perfectly in my kitchen. Good lighting and half the price of high Street stores. Ideal for oversized lighting shades.

The bulbs are good value for money, however we have a dimming switch and these bulbs flicker. They claim they are dimmable, but they are not strong enough to dim properly.
