Aquarium strip replacement alternative ****
These work as a perfect replacement for the flexible strip that seems to always need replacing. With these installed there is about a 1/8" gap between the glass pieces which is perfect. I left the flex hinge material on to close that cap but its totally unnecessary... Good bye expensive replacement strips....The screws are not stainless so they will need to be sealed over with silicone or replaced with stainless. I'm going to replace mine with stainless... The screw size is 8mm x 6mm... (size is 8m, length is 6m)

They rust if near water.
I also bought these for replacing the plastic strip that hinges an aquarium door, but mine have rusted. I believe it is actually the set screws that have rusted, none the less. They look awful and I believe I will go back to the plastic. This in fact makes them worthless. Do not buy these unless you plan to replace the set screws with stainless set screws. Last time I was able to clean them up so that the hinge itself still worked, but this time the hinge itself is completely frozen, it will not move at all.
