6mm Prusik Cord Pre-Sewn 12in Prusik Loop for Climbing Arborist Rescue Mountaineering General Outdoor Use

I ordered two different style prusik loops, these are the only ones that came properly labeled to be able to use for my insurances safety requirements.They work excellent compared to my older thicker and harder to operate set. I always suggest using more than one for safety in case of a failure.

I use these as my backup on rappel and have also used them to ascend/decend a fixed rope on a number of occasions. I also have/use regular, rated prusik cord but highly prefer these pre-sewn loops for a few reasons. First, I've never had one fail to grab and hold onto the rope after being loaded. And second, these loops are extremely easy to release. Having had regular prusik cord to work with by comparison, I spend a lot more time, energy, and aggravation releasing and redressing the knots than i would using these pre-sewn loops. Don't forget to back them up by attaching yourself to the rope by another means (running clove hitch for me). Can't speak as to how durable, long-lasting this product is. For the price, I'll probably replace them well in advance of the end of their shelf life. 2025 Edit: I just honorably retired my first of these prusik cords after a few years and over 100 uses. It was showing some friction/heat damage and the plastic wrap surrounding the sewn seam was frayed a little. I've beaten the heck out of these things, subjected them to intense heat during fast rappels, and fallen on them probably harder than I should have. I bought a second pack of these and intend to keep using them to keep me and my kids alive on rappel.

Works well for a back up for my ascending device. Bright colors really stand out so you don’t forget them. Quality.

Great loops. Super handy in saddle hunting. Can be used as redundant bridge with proper carabiner.

I have only had an opportunity to play with these, not use them for real. But they are just barely long enough to create a 3 wrap Prussik hitch on a rope 7/16" in diameter, and that takes some finagling and can't be done quickly. They would be absolutely too short for anything more than a 2 wrap Prussik on a 1/2" rope or thicker. They seem well made but I would have been much happier with these if they had been 1 inch longer.

Great product, good price. We usually do not purchase these but rather make our own. However when you need the safety rating stamped on these are great.

Es importante leer bien las especificaciones del producto,son demasiado pequeños para lo que esperaba,pero de algo deben de servir,lo curioso es que tiene fecha de caducidad,quizás porque no estoy familiarizado con el mundo del climbing
