Great product, fast shipping. Loved the fact that it was easy to install and worked great. It also supports mini disc which is a bonus. Fit perfectly int the Silver Tek 5.25 Inch Aluminum Cover Bay. Only dislike is it makes sounds but it seems to not be a defect with the item but with the cd or dvd's that we used. If they are overused or slightly bent, flexed, warped, scratched whatever you want to call it then it makes weird noises. We noticed that when we used old disc that it did this. However newly purchased disc we silent when read. Disc that we got from netflix or that you get from gamefly may prove to be very loud when used.

I was looking for a drive with the open button on the left hand side. After reading through many websites, many specs and looking at many pictures I thought this was the one. Alas, it was not to be. Luckily Windows 7 has an eject function so you don't need the button but it would have been convenient if it worked.For the rest no issues, drive works fine. Pulls in discs quickly and spins quietly.Is supplied without mounting screws and requires very thin, non-standard screws.

Arrived broken. I'm not wasting anymore time on it. If you buy it, good luck

Works perfectly, cheaper than in the UK. Spins round, makes little noise, easy to fit, nice and shiny, recommended to all.

Great replacement for an internal slot drive. However, I now believe the internal circuitry of the unit was faulty. Not traceable to the purchased item.

all together junk waste of money two weeks after i got it wouldn't read anything

It replaced the factory installed unit very nicely and worked as advertised.

did not come with instructions. other than that the drive came fast, and worked on the first attempt. Now I can use the drive on the Laptop and not the server.
