Samsung SHS-H705-FMK Biometric Digital Door Lock, Fingerprint with Small Mortise (AML-220)

Beautiful. It's very complicated to install it but it's worth the work.

I installed this close to a year ago.It replaced a standard two piece American style doorknob and deadbolt. All I needed was a drill, a chisel, a hammer and a screwdriver. It took me about 45 minutes all together fur the whole installation.This door handle and lock, is very high quality. The whole mechanism has nice tight tolerances and it opens and closes the door effortlessly.Both the fingerprint scanner and keypad still works perfect without any problems. The door will hold 100 fingerprints, so we scanned all 10 fingers on every family member. Just in case someone some day would come home with a dirty finger.The handle can be installed either to the right or left side.Every time you open the door, you get the feeling of quality.Batteries still last, and I just don't have anything bad to say about this door handle.Highly recommended.

It not has face recognition. The fingerprint reader works excellent and the digital keyboard as well. For tech support you can find manuals in YouTube and internet. Is easy to install and easy to configure

Installed this product in an apartment building. All my neighbors are impressed with the appearance and functionality. As for the installation process, BEWARE, it is not simple remove and replace project. If you have an existing mortise installed(ie Maxwell), you will need a custom mortise face plate made to fit this one(I could provide you with the file (~90$ to have it made by water jet cutting)). Adapters are not available on the market, nor the manufacturer makes one. Once you have the mortise plate figured out (if you need), to make the install look nice and to reinforce the door, use 3 1/2 x 15 inch steel push plate to cover any previous holes and to set landing for the handles(that's the route I chose). Note, locksmith will not install it for you citing the mortise face plate issue, and if they will take the job, it will cost you big $. If you are handy and want a challenge, look no further, this is it. Tools needed are: Dremel rotary tool or comparable (make the face plate), file (straight edge and round), 1 1/4 inch bore drill bit, 56mm bore drill bit, screwdriver, and tools called for in the installation manual. Good luck. Once installed, you won't regret it.

As others have stated, it's hard to install. As others have not done, I'm going to not talk about how nice it is to have a keyless lock, but about this lock. It's the nicest keyless lock I have ever had (out of four). The touchpad and chimes are pleasant. The auto lock functionality is the best of all the e-locks I have had. The left hand right hand switching is well done. Interaction with the lock is great. Does well with doors that are under pressure (like if there were a ton of weather stripping) because there's a mechanism that holds the door closed while the lock is closing so that the bolt is not under any shear force. It's sleek and sturdy. You can easily program/reprogram stuff. The most used instructions are inside the battery case. It's REALLY EASY to change the batteries; this has not been the case with any other lock.Install: You are supposed to have a more-than-regular-thickness door. You have to chisel out about 16 square inches of wood if your door doesn't have the right hole.EDIT:The latch stopped working. The door won't close. I have to lean on the door and wait for the lock to engage. I hate this lock now. I go out of my way to avoid using the door it's on.

In less than a year the screen covering the electronic keypad has cracked to the point where you can not read the numbers anymore. This has happened on multiple locks we have purchased. The fingerprint reader has also failed on one of three locks we installed. Before these issues we enjoyed the functionality of the locks.

It met mu expectations. The fingerprint reader is very accurate. I never tried it twice. The password also works fine. It was worth the money

I was looking for a Biometric Smart Lock for my indoor access door.This is the only branded biometric smart lock in the market for now. So when I ordered it I was confident that I was getting a quality product. And it is technically a quality one to say but this lock has few plastic parts to it. To my luck, I got a cracked unit. So had to return it.Now I am no more looking for any biometric lock. Just a branded Smart lock.Few things to note;This lock is NOT for outdoor installation.If you are looking for an easy installation. Say like; replacing your existing lock with this EZon lock using just a Phillips Screwdriver, then this is not the answer. Installing this will require a chisel and a drill too.
