Awesome for Dark Mornings and Late nights!
Super portable, super bright, great for these darker mornings. Just know you have to set the “sunrise” time for when you want to get up- not the actual time of sunrise or the alarm won’t work. The point is to actually wake up naturally earlier than sunrise- at least for my purposes. It’s so great for travel, lightweight, and small enough to pack without issue. It’s SO bright, but starts out with a dim light and gradually gets brighter. You can play around with the light settings to find a brightness that works best for you. Also great for those late nights working/studying when you need a boost. Better than coffee! Might be a lot for a typical alarm, but you get what you pay for and this is definitely worth it!

Great Alarm/Therapy light at a very fair price
I searched and compared for a very long time before I bought this. My budget was under $100. We live on the dark, grey, rainy central Oregon Coast. I was in desperate need to have morning sunshine to, not just wake me up but wake me up in a good mood and ready for the day. This light/sunrise alarm is perfect for that. I don't use an alarm (I did at first because I didn't trust it to wake me). I just wake to the light. I set it to turn on and wake me an hour before I want to get up. I lay under the therapy grade lights and either lightly sleep or just relax and plan my day ahead. I have also trained myself to become a morning person (more productive this way) using the light (and enjoying it) every morning even when I don't need to get up early. This is the only Sunrise alarm/Therapy light of this size and budget that I was able to find. I do have to say some of the bulbs did start to go out. But the customer service made me feel I needed to get this review out even more. I emailed them after having the light for 11 months to let them know about the lights going out on it. They replied back immediately and took care of the issue with no work or money on my part. Tip: I bought a desk lamp at Goodwill. Cut the wire on the desk top lamp. Velcroed the sunrise light to the lamp. Now I can aim the sunrise light over my face at any angle. Just like the sun coming up.

Excellent alarm; almost exactly what I was looking for
I originally purchased this when, for the third time in as many months, my iPhone alarm function failed (snooze added 8 hours rather than 8 minutes) and I was consequently half an hour late to a meeting. I needed a backup alarm and since I live in New England I had been planning on getting a light therapy lamp for a while anyway. It’s only been a few days but it has been working like a charm. This is my primary alarm now, my phone is the backup. The alarm sound is far too quiet for my taste, BUT the light always wakes me up before the sound goes off... even if I’m turned in the opposite direction (I usually sleep on my side), that’s how bright it is.Not sure what was going on with the reviews that said otherwise, but instructions ARE included and are very clear/straightforward.While still not particularly fun or pleasant, waking up certainly feels much more natural and complete. I don’t think I would have been nearly as productive in an early morning meeting today without it.This is a great little alarm so far; four stars instead of five for the alarm sound being very quiet/faint (hasn’t been an issue yet but I have only had it a few days), plus it needs to be plugged in to function, which means you’d be SOL during a power outage. When unplugged briefly (eg, move to another room) the backup battery does keep the time current.

Nice little light with bonus sunrise alarm feature is
EDIT: This light works well but must be pointed directly towards the sleeping position to be noticeable. Also, there is no traditional large snooze button so it’s necessary to shield your eyes from the glare to find the right button to turn it off. The lack of a battery back-up seems a risk as well.—-Just arrived a few days ago and this morning was my first trial experience with the quiet wake-up. This meets my purchase criteria for a small and simple sunrise wake-up alarm with the option for a silent or audible alarm. And the sunlight therapy potential is a bonus.Where it can be improved is the digital interface which has sort of bubble style buttons that need to be mashed on the firm end. On the plus side, it’s dead simple to program. The read-out for the clock could also be helped with either wider or blacker digits (they are grey and thin). I have another clock for easy viewing but would find this one lacking if it were the only time-keeper visible.I was surprised to find, as far as the sunrise feature itself, that I had no idea it had come on. The room had some natural light. But it was not precisely pointing towards my face. That said, it should be visible in a darkened room.

WOW!
I have been using the nature bright sun bliss pro light therapy for some time now and it works so well during those overcast days. Because I suffer from seasonal affective disorder I can get really sad and moody during the winter days but the nature bright light therapy is a great way to get me out of that funk. You can set it on a timer to turn on every day at the same time as if you’re waking up to the sun rising and it’s a great way to start my day. It comes with a charging cord so you don’t have to worry about keeping extra batteries around and you can also adjust the brightness to your liking. I have always heard great things about light therapy but I’m so happy to have finally tried it myself because I have no regrets!
