Knife arrived in good condition. No worries with blade wiggling or lock function. After reading some other reviews I was concerned about the quality of this model. However upon close scrutiny I found zero flaws. Of concern for me is the "PIVOT RIVET" I will be keeping a close eye on it. Seems like a Chicago screw like that on my other Buck slim 110 (with the harder steel S35) is a better design choice. I bought this one because of my preference for the 420HC heat treated steel. It is a very good working steel that holds an edge for a good many uses and is easily sharpened quickly. Overall weight and balance, grip ergonomics are excellent. This is a good choice for an everyday carry knife and the price is very reasonable. Overall I am pleased with this purchase.

This is a modern version of Buck's classic 110 folding hunter... Kudos: This little knife is super light (2.8 oz!), has an FRN handle for a good grip wet or dry. Slips easily into a front or back pocket. Sits low. Doesn't broadcast to the world you are carrying a 3.5" blade. The blade deploys one handed - little awkwardly, but it works. It comes razor sharp and with decent steel. The lock up is classic Buck -- strong and the blade doesn't show any wiggle from side to side. Pans: Ergos are definitely 1963-ish (the year the 110 Hunter was invented) and closing the 3.5" clip-point blade is a two handed affair. There's just no way to close it easily with one hand because the blade release is on the back end of the knife. It's a quality USA made pocket knife at a great price point.

If there is a knife company that knows how to make pocket knives, it’s Buck. Nearly everyone I talk to who owns pocket knives is familiar with Buck knives. The older generations swear by it and its ability to tackle everyday tasks. I owned a Buck 110 hunting knife for a few years but found myself not carrying it often. This was due to its weight and lack of a pocket clip. Overall, it was a great knife and I wanted to every day carry it, which is why I was very happy to see the Buck 110 Slim a few weeks ago. I was impressed by the quality of the knife right out of the box. The edge was shaving sharp and the blade locks positively. There is no blade play whatsoever. The pronounced Thumb studs allow you to open the knife one handed, with either hand. The only thing I would change about this knife to add a metal liner under the polymer handles. I feel like the addition on the liners would provide additional strength to the knife frame. However even without the liners, I am confident that the knife with be able to provide a lifetime of service. With its light weight and deep carry pocket clip, which is one of my most favorite features, this knife will most definitely be carried everyday and see many tasks. Pros: • Lightweight • Deep carry pocket clip • Ergonomic thumb-studs • Positive lock up without any blade play Cons: • No metal liners under the handles Overall I really like this knife, it’s a keeper for sure!

This is the best pocket knife that I have ever owned. The size is amazing. The deep pocket carry is really nice now the only thing I had to do was replace my clip it sprung on me, but with Buck’s lifetime warranty, they fixed it completely free of charge.

I bought the 110 slim select along with the 112 slim select. Both of them had massive burrs but it was easily removed and the result was high performance razor sharpness. Unfortunately the 110 I bought has a wonky pivot pin, the 112 was rock solid. The pivot pin is loose and travels back and forth loosening the lockup and creating side to side blade play (a minor amount). It’s not a problem for light use, and I don’t think every example will have the same issue but it’s out there. My pivot pin looks different than what is pictured, the solid 112 I got has pins that look like the picture. The grinds on both are all over the place but knives are sharp so not the end of the world. These are definitely good knives to use when you don’t want to use your “nice” knife. Cutting performance is superb. Loosing a star for QC issues, but keep in mind these are USA made for under $50 (not going to lie I am a little disappointed in the QC otherwise 5 star). Good for backup knives, budget USA made knives, first knives, knives you might loose or damage, & loaner knives. Hope you get a good one!! With the QC issue I feel like these are better priced $5-$10 less than what they go for, but if you get a good one then it’s a great deal at approx $30

I received the knife this afternoon and I am very happy with it. It is thin and light weight but feels rugged and well balanced. It lacks the look of the traditional brass and wood but it is not bad looking. The pocket clip is sturdy. Of course, it was sharp right out of the box.
