ARIAT Women's Terrain Pull on Waterproof Boot

Super Comfy
Read a lot of great reviews on these boots, that they were good for staying dry, working in the dirt & mud & also good for riding. I've been wearing them around the house for now to be sure I like them, and so far so good. I wear a 10 wide & bought an 11 since these didn't come in wide widths. I must have a high arch because they were a bit hard to put on at first. With each time however they're loosening up and easier to put on and take off. Inside my foot has plenty of room. They're a little loose in the heel for me as I walk, but I haven't been wearing real thick socks yet either. The foot part of the boot are stiff and seem very rugged, but the shaft is a nice, thick, soft leather with plenty of room around the top. I plan to spray with a water sealant to help protect even though they are waterproof. And the pull tabs make putting them on much easier. I had bought a taller Dublin boot before these and returned them. Those were just too hard for me to put on and take off. So far I am very happy with this purchase :)

Love them!
The soft uppers are comfortable riding or doing chores. Water proof, cute with a comp toe goes straight from mucking to the stirrup, everything I want in a boot. The arch felt a tad tight at first, but after and hour or so of wear the material broke in easily and the fit has been great.Sole is very comfortable, I've been teaching lessons in these and my feet survive the day in good shape.

Like them, but kill the V cut
I like Ariat boots and have had good luck with all their products, and that applies to these boots as well. I am warming to them, the more I wear them. They are just a bit heavy in the soles, but I take that as a sign of durability, so no complaints there, though I wouldn't want to have to walk long distances in them. They are a little loose in the heel, but I have a narrow heel and wide toes. This is almost inevitable in a pull on boot, and it is not bad enough to drive me crazy and I really don't notice it much when walking around. I wear an 8B and they fit me well, and are otherwise quite comfortable. They are truly water proof. I had to walk through some bogs and a creek the other day and they kept my feet dry. I mainly got them for pasture/paddock boots, but I also rode in them and they worked okay as riding boots, though I prefer Ariat's endurance lace-up boots for riding. There isn't enough tread on them to interfere with putting my foot in or out of the stirrup, yet the traction is adequate for most terrain, if walking in them, and I actually prefer the lower heel height of these boots to the heel on the Ariat riding boots. I like a pretty flat heeled boot, as elevated heels stress my knees and make downhill treks even steeper. The main thing I really don't like about these boots is the western style V cut in the front. It adds nothing to the looks of the boot and it allows much easier access for grasses, burrs and such to fall down inside my boot when walking in tall grass or brush. I have to empty them of debris afterward, and it can be annoying. The top of the boot is really too wide to fit underneath the hem of most of my pants. Perhaps a boot cut pant would go over the tops of the boots, otherwise, must tuck in. I knew when I got them that I didn't like that feature, but couldn't find a comparable boot without it. They seem to be tough and well made, so I'm hoping that for what they cost, they will hold up well. This is just my first quarter season to use them (summer), so time will tell. All in all, I am pleased with these boots and they should serve me as intended. I would recommend them.

Amazingly light weight
First pair and first-day observation. I love the extremely comfortable fit. I wear 8.5 in dress shoes and I ordered a 9 that is perfect with socks. Easy on, easy off. There are no places that rub, nothing that can press against a stirrup or hobble strap to irritate ankles or calves. I can feel the side-to-side stability of the insert. It has designed-in support of the ankles and the insert that can be removed if you would like to put in a custom orthotic. I am really looking forward to riding in them and putting them to the waterproof test. The top of the shaft is extremely large. I am not sure what the reason is for such a wide top. Possibly it is so that nothing binds when you are climbing rough terrain. Even for a lady with muscular calves, they would be very spacious. When I took them out of the box I told my husband that these are the ugg boot style. These boots are no frills but totally make up for it in comfort. The one thing I do anticipate though is if you don't wear bell-bottom jeans (and I don't) over the top of them they will fill up with hay and other debris. We shall see.I have now worn these boots for 10 days of mountain horseback riding. I have bumped into uncountable objects, trees, vines, and other various brush while riding on rugged trails. I was actually stepped on the toe of one of the boots by a horse and I just pushed the horse off with no injury at all. My toes did not feel any pain. I was grateful and amazed.I stepped into a creek to grab a wayward horse, filling my boots up with water. I pulled out the insoles and got the boots dried out completely with a fan overnight. The outside of the boots are scuffed up from the stirrups but in general, they are in good shape and have saved my feet and ankles. I don't know how long these will last but I will be buying another pair when they wear out.

Most awesome boots I ever had
Perfect boots for most situations.I live in Canada and I can wear those boots from comfortable temperature and now beginning of winter I still am very comfortable in them.I can walk in water or snow. I can keep em inside for hours and am very comfortable. I even fell asleep a few times with my boots on which is showing how comfy they are. Because of 100% leather and the inside material they are not getting my feet wet and it is pretty amazing how it is both keeping them from my sweat and the water out of the boots. Also I've wear them a bunch of time yet and the soles are still like new.I wish I had bought those years ago.And I'll sure not hesitate to buy those again when they get tired.

Super!

Great fit!
I have a wide foot with medium high instep plus a bunion forming. The boots broke in fairly quickly and am very pleased to not have pain. They are not the warmest in super cold weather but I expected that but perfect for all other seasons. I lather the boot with mineral oil/bees wax past every 2 months and that works great wearing them 2 years now.
