BLUE WORKS Salt Cell BLT3H fit for Hayward Salt Cell T-Cell-3, 2-Year Warranty (White)

This is my 2nd cell since I put the salt system in. Pops right in, works well. For the money it seems great, as most would cost triple this price.

I purchased this Blue Works Salt Cell (BLT3H) Oct 2022. I started having issues with it not reading the correct salt level. I contacted Blue Works customer support center via email. They reviewed the pictures and information I sent and decided that the cell is not working correctly. They are honoring the warranty and are standing by their product. They are going to ship me a new salt cell. There is a $20.00 shipping cost, but that is minimal compared to buying a new cell. The process since the first email to talking with the customer service rep was quick and easy.

I purchased a BlueWorks T-3 salt cell in July ‘22. Unfortunately it stopped working correctly and gave us an erroneous “HOT” indication on our panel.I contacted BlueWorks, completed the steps they requested (photos, video, proof of purchase), and started the warranty process.The customer service representative (JP) was very polite and thorough. I was told I could send the bad cell back and get a new one sent to me (I pay shipping), or I could send them a $300 guarantee fee and shipping fee to receive a new cell. It seemed pretty shady to send them $300 via PayPal, but I took the chance.I received the new cell, sent the bad one back, and got my $300 guarantee fee refunded as soon as the bad cell was received by them.I would definitely do business with this company again. Very positive experience with customer service.

We ordered this to replace our Hayward brand T-Cell that had gone bad. It seems like we have to replace the Hayword brand every 12-18 months so learned to do it ourselves instead of hiring a pool service company to overcharge us. When our last one went out a few months ago we first ordered the original Hayward from the manufacture but it was defective when we received it and never made chlorine. Our pool an ugly green color and we were getting ready to leave town for a few weeks and were in a hurry to get our system fixed. Found this brand and ordered it for quite a bit less money and the shipping was Prime and quick. Just what we needed! We are thrilled with it’s performance so far. Easy to install, pretty much plug and play, and works like a charm! If you are thinking about trying this instead of the Hayward original brand, do it! I’m curious to see if it lasts any longer than the original cell.

I am 77 years old, and I purchased this chlorinator cell and it stopped working after 16 months. I tried to get the company to honor the two year warrant and they will not take my word that it has gone bad. They are requiring me to summit all kinds of tests to prove that it has stopped working. It will take me several hours of my time to collect and summit all of the paper work they are asking for. I know a little about pools and have had one for 15 years but have never this kind of treatment with a salt chlorinator cell. I would never buy from this company again due to the way I have been treated.

JUMPINPOOL did not give up on a defective salt cell which they distributed from BLUEWORKS. They recognized that taking care of their customer was very important and they contacted me directly to resolve the problem. JUMPINPOOL is the "seller" not the manufacturer. They recognized that sometimes a product is defective from the manufacturing side, not the distribution side. I would buy again from JUMPINPOOL when I wanted to purchase a similar product. They understand the quality of good customer service.

I wanted to wait a year to make this review, just to make sure that things are behaving the way they should. I have to say this Salt Cell has performed much better than the original Hayward T5 and T3 Cell. When the pool was first built we had a T5 Cell which lasted a little over 2 years and was replaced under warranty for the T3 Cell. Unfortunately the replacement cell lasted even less that the original, I think its a warranty version of the cell which might not be rated to last as long. in any case, when running the hayward cells my output settings were always at around 80% in order to keep the chlorine at an acceptable level. Take it I live in South Florida and UV is intense specially during the summer. Well with this new cell I keep the output at 50% and chlorine production has been super stable and consistent. So to me this product works better than the previous two salt cells from Hayward. Hope this helps those of you who are on the fence about this product.Update: Year 3Still going strong, have been very impressed by this salt cell. The only thing that I have not done with this cell versus the original Hayward is cleaning it with an acid mixture. I have just been hosing it down every now and then and haven't had any issues. Like the old saying if it ain't broke don't fix it.Too bad the price of this cell has gone up so much since I purchased mine, but still more affordable than the Hayward and the longevity has been great. Definitely getting my money's worth!!! Will buy again when this one dies. I will update this review when it dies!!
