First mug arrived broken because it was shipped in a retail box in an envelope. Replacement arrived ok, surprisingly. I love the mug. I broke one I had purchased at a science museum and couldn't bear to be without one. This one matched! Perfect for the skywatcher on your list.

I bought this for my brother's girlfriend who loves stars and she really liked it. It worked beautifully! Super pretty and the way it slowly turns into the constellations is really cool.

It works, beautifully. You'll want to take pictures for the gram! It's small but lovely. You will follow all the rules... no dishwasher, do not leave submerged in the sink, gentle hand washing, etc. and then one day a mere couple months after purchase you'll reach for your favorite mug and pour yourself a fresh hot cup of joe and you'll notice the color-changing film is starting to lift. Its a sad day because you paid $20 for a FREAKING coffee cup! The morning relaxing time of bliss if over, now you're just bummed out and writing a review on amazon.

Wass originally very impressed at the look but now my can't use it as the coating is all chipping off .

One constellation appears when the cup is cold, but the others appear only when the cup is hot and disappear when the cup is cold again.
