Very nice duvet cover
Hereโs a polished review: I really like this duvet cover. The 100% cotton material is exactly what I was looking for, and itโs perfect for the warm Caribbean climate because it feels cool and breathable. The size fits perfectly as well. I washed it and dried it in the dryer before using it, and it came out very wrinkled, so it does require ironing if you want a crisp look. Other than that, Iโm very happy with my purchase and will definitely buy another one.

Finally a great, simple, quality duvet
I was looking for a duvet with a true quality feel. A crisp cotton that still feels comfortable. A duvet that washes and dries well, while still looking fresh and new. So far this duvet meets my expectations. Bonus, no more feathers everywhere. If I run into quality problems, I will update.

Fantastic but tad thin
LOVE THIS! I would have given it 5 stars if it was a little cheaper. I paid $74 frm Amazon. PROS: - It's 100% cotton (no crinkly polyprop) with that awesome crisp feel. - Long zipper (vs buttons so your duvet doesn't hang out) - corner ties inside to keep duvet in place - Feather-proof. Especially obvious when I unzip the cover - feathers + dust flies around. - I don't have severe allergies, but it's working great for me. You can tell it has a tight weave. - extremely light-weight. CONS: - Thin. So thin you can see the color of my duvet (which is cream). Not a huge con in my book. In fact, thinking of getting another one because I love this one so much. One as a protector and 2nd one as a duvet cover that gets removed + washed. I think that will take care of the see-through factor. Wish it was slighter cheaper considering how thin it is... That's the only reason I took a star off. - Quite wrinkly out of the dryer. But I like my sheets kinda wrinkly. Makes the bed look cozy. Hope this review was helpful. They drive my decisions, so I've decided to review my purchases from now on.

Excellent!
I purchased two of these pillow covers and the duvet cover which is also made by Allersoft. Both are lovely, excellent quality. I will be purchasing more of these for the rest of the household pillows. Recently, I was reminded of how gross dust mites can bee to the beds and pillows. It's one of those things that people hear over the years and might try to ignore (I have in the past). Something triggered in me this time, though, and I was on a mission to seal all of the items we sleep on. I did not want to get rid of my favorite feather/down pillows but couldn't stand the thought of what is in them after 10 years. I took a chance and washed them in my front loading washing machine on the sanitize cycle, extra hot water, with bleach, 3 times each (my husband was shaking his head a lot through this whole process). I figured if they didn't fall apart, we were good for another ten years! I dried them in the dryer with a few tennis balls. Then, placed them outside on a non-humid, dry, sunny day in the sun for a few hours. I then encased them in two of these covers. And, I will be purchasing an additional duvet cover to go over the top of the other duvet cover. I purchased the Allersoft duvet as a protectant layer/dust mite barrier for the down comforter and then was going to purchase some other duvet topper. But I like the look of the white duvet so much (and it is really great quality), I thought I will keep all the bed linens white. When I started looking for just a plain white duvet cover to go over the Allersoft layer, they were just as much or more for what I am sure would be a lesser quality (duvet was around $75 for king size). I know it sounds a little excess, but, by covering the allergy layer with another white, Allersoft cover, I can wash that additional layer as much as I want without worrying about degrading the fabric. The care instructions state to only wash twice a year which with those instructions and reviews elsewhere leads me to believe that the tight weave of this fabric, which is what makes it the allergen barrier, could start to loosen up after repeated washings. I am extremely happy these are 100% cotton and made in the USA.

Smell, Feel is not like cotton.
Hey, about 4yrs ago I bought a full size cotton duvet directly from National Allergy Supply, and i love it. This twin sized duvet I bought from Amazon arrived in no packaging, just a plastic ziplock bag. I opened the ziplock bag and felt the fabric. It didn't feel like the soft cotton duvet that I had bought before. It felt like plastic. It gave off an acrid smell. In the past, I've bought cotton T-shirts off Ebay and for the past couple years, there is often a strong smell and the fabric feels unnaturally stiffened and then becomes rough after being washed and still smells. They can't be worn without the feeling that the fabric doesn't breathe. One of them fell apart after being washed. I sought the sellers asking what was the problem. Finally one was honest. He stated they store them in plastic bags sometimes for years, that is why the smell. But it seems the plastic is embedded in the fabric. I imagine the most logical conclusion is this cotton duvet I just bought has been sitting for years in some hot warehouse until they have to dig it out of storage to ship it.

Don't buy it for the way it looks or feels.
I bought this duvet far too long after I should have. I have developed allergies over the years. I have noticed that I would wake up with a stuffy nose and lots of congestion for some time now. I suspected that it had to do with my down comforter, but I was too cheap to buy an allergy protective cover because I was not sure if it would solve my problem. This cover has made a huge difference. I am waking up without being congested and I am having far fewer allergy symptoms. It was worth the purchase and of course I wish I bought it sooner. Yes the material may not feel like you expect. It is tightly woven which has also made my comforter warmer since less air is passing through. It might make some noise, but I do not notice, especially after it is broken in a bit. It also might hold some wrinkles, but mine is between my comforter and my decorative duvet. So if those things matter more than breathing better, maybe this is not for you. If your goal is to wake up with clear nostrils then don't keep waiting.

Works for me!
My allergist recommended dust mite covers for our duvet, pillows & mattress as a first step in reducing my allergy symptoms. I was looking for a light weight, non-crinkly fabric & an easy to use duvet cover. Other reviewers mentioned that this product had these attributes, & I am happy to agree. Another nice feature is that each inside corner has ties for securing your comforter or blanket to keep it from shifting inside the cover. The fabric is a nice crisp white & is nice enough to use without a duvet cover if you like a plain white bed. It is also very wrinkle resistant & has a nearly full-length zipper which is very helpful. I also purchased the pillow covers, which I have reviewed separately, from the same manufacturer. I am very pleased with both & feel they were a worthwhile investment to minimize my allergy symptoms.

Great feel, but no outside duvet ties make it an inadequate duvet protector
The reason why I gave three stars is because what the heck-- they didn't put outside tie holds on the duvet protector! (There are ties on the inside to keep your comforter in place inside the protector.) How am I supposed to keep this in place inside my decorative duvet cover?? I'm afraid that if I sew on my own ties I will expose the protector to holes that are greater than 3microns. AllerSoft what do I do??? I'd change my rating if there were an easy solution! Aside from the glaring problem with this duvet protector-- I really like the feel AllerSoft products. And I like that the brand is made in the USA. I have also used Eco Living Friendly and Mission Allergy products, but AllerSoft has the best price point to fabric feel ratio for me. Eco Living Friendly is the cheapest brand, and is not cotton (which some say may make it more durable in the long run), but the fabric feels strange to me. Mission Allergy is more expensive and high quality, but the fabric is very stiff. AllerSoft is priced between the two and is quite soft as far as dust mite fabrics go. Keep in mind that you will cover most of these allergy protector products with regular sheets and pillowcases, so the feel of the fabric is not a huge deal.

Wonderful Product!
This dust mist cover works perfectly. Luxurious feel to it. It's got some weight to it. Like having two thick sheets. I personally like sleeping with weighty blankets so this is not a problem. I really like the small ties in the corners to keep the duvet in place inside the cover. That was an unexpected, simple, and appreciated feature! If you are looking for a dust mite cover for a duvet, this is a great product.

thick cotton, but very noisy
this was advertised as noiseless. but very very noisy when one moves in bed. Although I was pleased to find an allergy/dust mite duvet cover that was 100% cotton ..noise is a big issue for me when I sleep. This was not a cheap investment, but it's way too noisy. Not happy.

Does the job
This is literally the only affordable one I could find to buy, but it mostly does the job. My feather down doona constantly had feathers coming out and this stopped that. Occasionally one will still come out but that's it. A good buy.

Good quality
I bought this item after I found out that I am extremely allergic to dustmites. Does it work? I do not know, because I changed all my bedding, bought an air purifier as well and am on medication, but I do feel a lot better in general :). Anyway I wanted to say that the duvet cover feels amazing! It is nice and soft and you can see it is great quality.

well made product
having invested in a new bed and mattress, I bought all new protective covers for everything, including the duvet. (Always fun putting a cover on a duvet) The zip ensures complete protection from bed bugs which was my concern
