DISCLAIMER; THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY. When I look at a company advertisement video reviews for any product I think, "well just another gimmick to sell their crappy product" and another pair of blunt fabric scissors just like all the rest. I have been through more scissors than I can remember and this really was the last time I was going to spend any money on any cutting implements. When I received them I was in a 50/50/ mind frame. The presentation on first appearances was impressive. They are quite weighty but metal always is. When I opened the packaging, I saw that they were looking like they meant business. The thread nippers are made from the same metal as the scissors. TESTING VERDICT... WOWEEEEE these do not disappoint in any aspect. I cut through one layer of satin material and they cut through it like a warm knife in butter would. I tested them further and went for 2 layers, 3 then 4, and up to10 layers of satin. The performance was just the same as cutting through 1 layer as was 10 layers. I only tried satin material as that is what I make my hairdressing capes out of at the moment. I will transition to thicker and different types of material in the future. CONCLUSION- Fantastic Scissors and the nippers are just as excellent. The nippers do cut through the material but not as much as the scissors. No worries about the fluffy cotton ends. Its lovely blunt ends to thread through needles with ease. So don't delay, buy these scissors and you won't need to look anywhere else for your cutting equipment. To keep them sharp only keep them for your dressing making as other materials eg: paper etc will blunt them.

Good solid scissors which cut material well. Good value product. Don’t forget to wipe before using.

This set is amazing. The scissors is very sharp, strong and sturdy. We used the scissors to cut carpet and underlay for our stairs which we fitted half carpet and half laminate so we cut each piece of carpet for each step and this cut through the carpet like butter. Also fitted some blinds for the windows which has to be cut to size and this made the cut very easy. The clippers came in great for cutting the stray ends off the blinds to leave a nice finish. I’d highly recommend well worth the money!

Really sharp and sturdy. Used it to cut foil insulation. Still going strong!

Good to have for when needed

Both items are nicely sharp but especially the large scissors, they cut cloth quickly and cleanly. Just like in the haberdashers. The small sheers are not far behind and very handy to whip out for small cuts. Careful as when fully closed a tiny portion of the back end of the blade can slightly protrude beyond the handle. No biggy it feels like a tiny pinch and has not drawn blood, also its not necessary to close them that far for the full length of cut. And theyre not really meant to be used in a chopping fashion anyway but a gliding, slicing manner. I have never given anything 5 stars for anything before. I really like these items

We have an upholstery business and a pair of sharp shears are an essential in the workshop. After years of buying very expensive shears which often get dropped on the floor we decided to try a cheaper pair… wow! These are very sharp, the blades are true and cut perfectly. They are comfortable to use especially when cutting fabric for hours on end. They come in their own box although they live on the cutting bench. The snips are good for cutting threads but the heel is rather sharp so you have to be careful, they don’t get used very often but at this price they are basically a freebie with the shears. Would definitely buy again.

Highly recommend. Sturdy scissors and very sharp. Good price. The added bonus of the little thread snippers is the best bit! These are the things I never knew I needed but now I can't do without! Invaluable as a person who sews a lot by hand and is constantly snipping off threads. Small, light to use, precise and extremely sharp. Would have paid the money for these alone.

happily suprised! high carbon clame was true, came oiled and after 20 minutes under vinegar they got nice patina.. very sharp, cuts to the edge even on low tension, no problem cutting heavy fabrics beware they are heavy and not super comfy but feel like i got much more then what $13 should buy..

Es la primera vez que tengo unas tijeras de este tipo y la verdad me a sorprendido la calidad. Van muy, muy bien. El corte es perfecto. Es ideal para el corte de telas, pero si uso puede ser muy variado. Son bastante grandes y pesadas, pero no molesta en absoluto, y gracias a eso hace que ayude mucho en el corte. Las tijeras pequeñas son muy prácticas sobre todo para el corte de hilos. Muy recomendables en conjunto.
