The high quality case provides hints of the excellent tools provided within
Received the DEWALT D180002 hole saw set yesterday (arrived on-time, Prime shipment). The first thing you see is the really high quality look and feel to the case. Having read all of the reviews here, the first thing I checked was the threading. All of the saws threaded smoothly on the mandrels. It comes with two mandrels, one for the larger saws and one for the smaller saws. Pilot bits are already attached to the mandrels PLUS there are two additional pilot bits included with the set (stowed in the compartment below the quick change mandrel). It also comes with additional set screws and a hex key.Operation of the mandrels is depicted on the outside cardboard box and also depicted on the mandrel itself. Very solid build and feel. The saws are slotted for easy clean out. This is a heavy duty set and the mandrels will accept most other manufacturer's saws. The case has a slot for one more small saw. I also ordered a 2-7/8" saw. The case will not hold additional large saws (some sets allow for stacking saws) so I will keep the large saw that I ordered in it's original packaging.I really can't give this less than 5 stars. Impressive case. High quality, heavy duty mandrels. No issues with threads as some have mentioned in their reviews. Love it! I've never been disappointed in the DEWALT tools that I own.I reserve the opportunity to change my rating since I have not yet used the saws. I will be using them in a few days. If all goes well, this rating will stand and I will not add any further review.

High Quality Drill Attachments
There are many options for this type of product on Amazon. I originally purchased a budget product and got budget results for the project I was working on. I decided to buy these instead and they work very well. High durability, many different sizes, and cut through wood quickly. Highly recommend.

Well built product
Overall I'm very impressed with this item. The saw blades are standard Dewalt quality, e.g. very good, and the case is great. My only complaint is why they could not stack the blades like some of the cheaper kits to allow for additions. I also ordered a 3 5/8" and a 5 1/2 inch blades for recessed lights and it would have been nice to store them all in one place. Another nit is that it comes with two mandrels and the one for the small hole saws took me a bit to figure out. A piece of paper showing how to use it would have been nice. But I guess I'm a guy and probably would not have read the instructions even if they sent them. ;^)Overall a well built product...

Nice kit. So far so good.
Impressive quality so far. Not inexpensive, but as long as the teeth stay sharp and the fancy spring loaded arbors don't malfunction after commercial use, it seems a good value as a handy, consolidated kit for field electricians. I've used only the 2-1/2' through 1/16" steel so far and it was quick and sharp and cut with ease. The case is Dewalt solid as expected.

Very close to pictures, only one quick change
The kit is marked as a D180002. The listing states it has two quick change mandrels, but it only comes with one. The rest of the kit looks like the pictures. Extra center drills and allen wrench are included in the kit. For the price, it's decent and does the job I needed it to do (steel, wood).

Good quality basic hole saw kit for the price - recommended after 2 years of use
I've had this kit for over 2 years now and have used it many times for wood, MDF, drywall and for metal a few times, both handheld and on the drill press. As usual with this kind of basic bi-metal hole saws, don't expect miracles - they cut through most everything but don't leave the smoothest finish, get pretty hot and it can be a pain to remove the puck from the saw.In my experience all name brands of this kind of basic hole saw are pretty much the same and have the same arbor size, so they're interchangeable - you will not notice any difference between these and a similar Milwaukee, Lenox, Bosch etc. If you want better performance, you'll have to buy a different type of hole saw - there are better hole saws with carbide teeth that leave a cleaner cut and don't get that hot, but they cost more too, like .The arbors are well made and are easy to thread on and off. The box is pretty strong as well.Overall I recommend this kit, just be aware that these are basic hole saws and nothing more.

A nice set of hole saw blades
I've used a variety of hole saws and this one is really nice. From the solid and well designed case to the heavy duty steel used, these are a convenient and easily usable set that should give years of satisfaction. For the price, they are a bargain and so much better than the off brand imports.

Drilling plastic with any hole saw in the forward direction the first tooth to make it through the material will dig in and catch and inevitably cracking the plastic. Running them in reverse prevents this. Your pretty much melting your way through the plastic but it works excellent. If it’s thick plastic then you can run them in forward for the first part of the hole to speed things up then once you’re 3/4 or so through stop and switch your drill to reverse to finish the remainder of the hole."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Will this work with a room temperature die cast aluminum enclosure?
