LOVE LOVE LOVE Have been wanting to get into sewing for years now and have been looking around at sewing machines for months. Everybody on Reddit recommends getting a brother so imagine my bemusement when I see a Brother Lx3817 on sale (refurbished) I immediately jumped on it. Ive had it for about a week and so far so good and a good compact size and light enough that I can pick it up and store easily back in the box. It was super easy to thread and behind my sewing journey and found several videos on YouTube to get me started. Even though my machine was refurbished it still came with all the original accessories. It’s not super loud either which is a plus for late night projects. Also super versatile there’s quite a selection of stitches and even some decorative patterns but not too many that it feels overwhelming. Very happy with the overall quality especially for the price. Will do my best to come back and update the review if any issues occur. But seriously if you’re wondering if you should do it DO IT!

I love it. Light enough to move it around if needed. It's simple to use, and whether you're a beginner or you have more experience sewing, this is a great purchase. The videos helped me to get to know my machine. I will update as I use it more.

The machine arrived in a Brother Factory box and was sealed as if new. The machine looks and works great. The only issue is that the description says it came with a protective cover, but it wasn’t provided in the package.

Received the machine about 2 hours ago, it looks brand new loaded the bobbin did a little trial run I am Bryon the moon I’m so very happy with this refurbished full sized sewing machine for less than 1/2 the original price . Don’t believe me buy one for yourself

This has been a wonderful sewing machine! I had always wanted to learn to sew but really had no clue where to start as a beginner. This brother sewing machine has worked great and has been easy to figure out how to use! I have made three projects with it and it has worked great. If you are looking for an affordable option, I think this one is great!
