I love this phone - works perfect for me.
I had a J7 Sky Pro for a couple years and the battery expanded and popped the back off - and it was time to buy another phone. I bought a Samsung S9 for only $350 from Total Wireless website. I disliked everything about the phone but tried the S9 phone for a month since I had spent $350 plus tax on it. I really tried but could not stand the S9. I didn't like that it was so narrow (vertical). The phone had a mind of its own and it seems everything I wanted to do was so complex it just wasted my time and frustrated me. I decided to bite the bullet on spending the $400 and bought the J7 Crown for $45 on Amazon and I have loved it since I got it in August 2020. It is better than I expected, has some pluses over the Sky Pro but doesn't frustrate me like the S9. I truly love this Crown. The only thing that drives me nuts about these Samsung phones are the predictive texting - and it's all or nothing with predictive texting. I like the alternative words or spelling help above the keyboard but I do NOT LIKE that the phone inserts words or partial words after you have typed the word you want. That drives me nuts. I cannot get it to stop inserting words or alpha characters without turning everything off - no spell checks or ability to click the words below so you don't have to type the whole word... Other than the predictive texting, I really really like this phone. It has a good camera. I hope to use this phone for years - it easily does everything I want it to do.

Good budget phone
I'm coming from an LG X Power phone with android 6.1. With android 8.1 (Oreo) I can do picture-in-picture, so I can listen to Youtube videos while browsing the internet, or whatever else. Which reminds me of an issue. The phone comes with no instructions, or built-in tutorials, so it took some searching to find out how to make use of the picture-in-picture features, and I still haven't figured out how to use all the camera features. There was a booklet in the box with the phone, but it only has warnings about health dangers of cell phones. The J7 Crown very nearly hangs with the X Power for battery life. The X Power has a 4100mAh battery. Instead of using brute force, the J7 shuts down apps, to make the smaller battery run almost as long. I can generally go a whole day of normal use on 50% of the battery, you could maybe do better by using more power saver features than I'm using.Transferring apps and data from my old phone was easily done, wirelessly. If you have an older phone, you may need to download a free app for the older phone in order to transfer data. The power button is on the right side of the phone, near the top, opposite the volume buttons. This is pretty much the worst possible spot for a power button. The power button is also very easy to press. In the span of 2 or 3 weeks, I've accidentally turned it off about a half dozen times.I used the main camera to take some close-up macro photos, not thinking that they would be very good. I didn't take phone cameras very seriously. The phone has no macro mode, at least not that I could find. Regardless, I was quite astonished when I blew up the photos on a large screen, and they were very very good. This is a good phone if you are trying to avoid using data. I can cruise from one wifi connection to another, and go offline, without the phone constantly bugging me to connect to data. The LG would do that, and sometimes lock up in the process.

Honestly, very happy with this budget android
I decided to purchase this phone as an upgrade to an old iPhone SE. I also wanted to use it as an opportunity to jump back into the android operating system. This phone really surprised me for what it is. I paid about 80 dollars for this phone and I feel like it is a great deal at that price. The screen is very nice for a 720p display, as long as you are not expecting Galaxy S9 level of detail you will be fine. The only complaint I would have is that on the Amazon page where you can view the details of this device it says that it has 32GB of storage space, this is false, it only has 16GB. The 16GB is manageable for what it is, considering this is a budget device I'm not too upset about the storage space, you can also add an SD card to expand that storage for things like music and photos. This phone runs on Verizon towers, which gets a very good signal where I'm located. The phone is through "Total Wireless" but it is technically Tracphone Wireless, all this doesn't really matter, what matters is that it runs on Verizon towers and I have not had any connection issues. So overall I'm very happy with this phone for the price. I would recommend it.
