Easiest and simplest stereo volume control to put in line. The action is smooth and assertive and the finish is clean. It’s small but has good weight and although the cable and xlr connectors are a little cheap feeling, they are labeled clearly and the thing just works exactly as advertised. I use it professionally all the time. Always ready to go in my gig bag.

I really like this thing. It's heavy but perfectly sized. It's sleek. It has its own sufficiently long cables. It's sooooo close to perfect for my needs, but I had to perform a little work on it to get it to sit flat.The connections inside caused a bulge in the soft bottom that made it wobble (irritating!). Fortunately rubber bottom peels off and I as able to to bend the connections enough to minimize the wobble.I also taped a zero-indicator mark so that I could tell when it was turned all the way down.Regardless, I'd buy this again.

This the second unit I purchased over the past few years, became scratchy after a few years. recently bought this second unit. The package had been opened and control was noisy. I requested a refund. TC maybe needs a reboot on this unit. I really like the profile. I would welcome a comment from the mfg. I have other TC products, good and bad results. Could this be a quality control issue or poor design.?

I've used this product for at least 5+ years together with two 8" Yamaha studio speakers, a computer, a bluray player, and an Abrahamsen A-DAC II. I think I've had this knob for nearly 10 years now. Afaik, works as new. I made sure to prevent any dust getting into the gap around the potentiometer or whatever is inside.Tip 1: Put some clear tape around the gap around this I guess potentiometer, to protect it from dust.The yellow bit here is just some masking tape I added totday because my aggressive cleaning rubbed off the old clear tape in one spot.Tip 2 (if using a computer w. a DAC): Switch from usb cable to Toslink. Might have to ground your DAC chassis to the pc chassis though.So the clear tape here is glued onto the top part. Trick is to first attach a thin strip of paper to the tape, THEN, place the tape over the gap. This way, both parts can still rotate freely, the tape only sticking to the knob on top, not the base.

Product was clearly used before, had a scratch on top and made some noise when changing volume. Other than that, it’s great not to have to stretch to change volume in my studio.
