Foundations Participant's Guide: A Purpose-Driven Discipleship Resource - 11 Core Truths to Build Your Life On

My husband and I were participants when our church used "Foundations" for a mixed-group Bible study. The group included college students, single adults, married adults, senior adults, new believers, and long-time Christians. "Foundations" is one of the most dynamic and informative studies we have ever experienced. It covers every major Biblical truth/doctrine from Creation to the Second Coming. The format encourages and stimulates discussion, but keeps everyone focused on what scripture has to say about each topic and how it relates to daily living. We enjoyed many lively (but amiable!) discussions as we shared comments, questions, experiences, and opinions. We all came to realize that regardless of our age, or level of maturity in Christ, forming a Christian world-view is vital to keeping our balance in today's world. Having a basic knowledge of scriptural truth/doctrine helps us understand life from God's point of view and gives us the tools we need to make good choices and decisions in everyday life. Unlike many study books that are discarded after the study is completed, the Foundations Participant's Guide remains a useful reference to review and continue to expand on each of these essential truths.

This is volume 2 of the Teacher's Guide that's used with the Foundations Participant's Manual. The guide is very useful is helping to explain the basics of our Chrisitian faith to the "unchurched" as well as refreshing those who have been Christians for a long time but may have forgotten the foundational teachings. It is also helpful in teaching other's how to share their faith and confidently explain why they believe what they believe. I didn't always agree with some of the statements made in the book but left room for individual interpretation and personal experience by the authurs. However, the gospel was never compromised and the book is very useful in teaching the basics of Christianity.

I have been repeatedly impressed with the way the foundations material handles all of the topics covered. The approach is scholarly while making the Biblical concepts clear and easy to understand for a very wide audience. I especially loved the unbiased presentation of many topics that are commonly found controversial. The amazing thing is that even though the material doesn't take sides in doctrinal arguments, it still gets to the heart of the matter in an elegant, concise, and effective way. Scripture is held in high regards and referenced constantly.My church offered this class for free, and I loved the material so much I purchased both the Participant's Guide and Teacher's Guide books. I couldn't recommend all of the material provided more highly. This is both a great learning tool and a wonderful reference that I come back to time and time again.

This is a life changing book. We started using these book for our Bible Study every Wednesday Night. Within three weeks of using foundations we have seen a dramatic change in Bible Study we have seen more in attandance and the moral of the people has been on an all time high. I recommend this book (foundation) to all people, Ministers, Teachers and Pastors. If you are interested in learning or teaching about building a solid foundation in the word of God this is a great book to start with....

This book arrived in like new condition, no writing or marks of any kind. Buying it used was a concern as it is a workbook, but it was not scratched up or pages bent, or anything. I am enjoying the study and recommend this book to anyone who wants to know about the Christian faith and it's history.
