Thomas & Friends Take-n-Play, Rocky

Added this to the ever growing collection of my son's thomas trains and tracks, as its the only toy that has lasted (with damages!) specially due to the metal construction. Rockey was purchased so that the train rescues could be carried out, but while the young lad (nearing 3 years) was happy to see rocky, he himself pointed out that its missing a magnet, and so was my conclusion.The character comes with the crane, plus two little units that is supposed to help the crane be kept flat (needed in real life i guess, but the toy Rocky can manage without them). They all combine with the usual magnet connectors, but though the picture of the toy shows as if the crane magnet end will be connected to the yellow magnet like pieces in the last little unit with yellow pieces, the yellow pieces in the little unit are not magnets. What this means is that the crane goes all over when rocky and its units get towed around, and this was very irritating for the young lad, and i find this a major design flaw that even a kid just barely 3 years can understand.What makes it sad is that, the wooden railway Rocky has a magnet to hold the train, so the new generation designer seems to have made a mess of the newer version, sad as this character is someone kids would love but in reality becomes a nuisance for the kid to use, and also causes parents a problem as the young fellow is always worried over the lack of this magnet to hold the crane unit.

My 4 year old daughter loves Thomas. My 15 month old son loves to eat Thomas. I purchased "Rocky" for her because he was so different than the other characters. My son loves how "Rocky" tastes. He has actually removed paint from "Rocky" with his teeth. Not great.So, good to play with. Terrible to chew on.

My daughter aged 3years wanted rockey for her birthday.Shes mad about trains. Couldnt get rockey take-n-play from any toy shop that sold thomas toys.Even asked our local toy shop if they could order but was at a loss.Have never ordered from amazon before but decided to try.Was very pleased, ordering was easy and it was delivered when they said it would come. Only downside can only order one item when ordering from USA, Would have ordered more trains.Well worth it as her face was all smiles when she opened it on her 4th birthday. Would order through amazon again.

This is exactly what my son wanted for Christmas. Couldn't find it anywhere but Amazon of course had it. My son Loves Rocky and the take alongs are so handy!

My daughter loves her trains, this is one she received this Christmas and she's been playing with them almost daily since. Good toy, shipped fast.
