ISEE Upper Level Secrets Study Guide: ISEE Test Review for the Independent School Entrance Exam

We were pleased how this test booklet was able to train my son’s mind. The booklet showed him how to utilize his time and was grade appropriate on the questions that were asked. We would highly recommend.

I had no idea we were going to have to take a test for the Independent schools my daughter was applying for. I wasn't on the ball. But thank goodness we found this book, the ISEE Upper Level Secrets Study Guide. I was afraid she wouldn't want to even take a look at it, but she really took to it and was smiling after she finished her first set of tests. Thank goodness this book exists. This book took the panic out of taking the ISEE, helping us learn how the test is administered, and what a boon to have a guide for getting a good score.

We use these books for tutoring students 1:1. It's not the thickest ISEE prep book, but the content is solid. It works well if you have students that are decent but need extra prep. It might not be enough content if you have kids that are way behind. On the plus side, it's not a massive tome that gets destroyed in backpacks because of the size and weight of it. It fits well with a student's binder

I really like the 5 "Secret Key" section. Even though I told my son those from my own experience, he seemed not listen too much. However, he was interested in reading them in the book and could repeat back to me. That was really helpful.I also appreciate the Testing Strategy and the explanation of each test session. Again, those it works better for my son to read them vs. I talk to them about it.

So far the study guide has been very good and met my son’s needs. He likes the way the learning process is setup and is quite different from other guides and he loves it. I would like the study guide to have examples and not just theory before the practice tests but other than that, it provides a good order to follow while studying key concepts tested in the exam.

I bought this book for my daughter, and she likes the explanations the most. I can find a lot of ISEE practice books in the market, but not many have such in-depth explanations.

The book is great. It is well organized and easy to understand. The only thing I could suggest is printing in color. Right now the black and white pages appear like a boring report. My 12-year-old daughter was not interested in reading it at first. I had to convince her this is a good study guide. Maybe colorful pages with some more illustrations would be nice.Overall this is a great book and I recommend to students taking ISEE.

I found the guide to be very straightforward in explaining the material. It made it easy for me to understand and learn concepts that seemed difficult at first.
