Good trail shoe
A good “hybrid” trail show. The tread and weight seem less rugged than other trail shoes- I took them for their first outing and the performed well on the trail. I run in GT-2000 road shoes exclusively and these were spot on for off-road.After running a Ragnar trail race, I’ve gone to 4 stars. Shoes did fairly well is rough, muddy, wet conditions. Good amount of cushion, but they are far from water proof or resistant. Having a layer added to keep feet dry would be nice.

Good work sneakers.
Got these on recommendation for work due to back and hip issues since I'm on my feet all day. I was hesitant at first with how thin the soles are as I'm used to New Balance and $50 air monarchs. They truly do help. They're light and supportive. I would recommend that during the winter you wear a separate pair of boots or junky sneakers before switching into them to save on the wear and tear from water and salt.

Good Old Asics GT-2000 with a bit more
These shoes are your basic Asics GT-2000 with more tread, substantially more than non-'trail' and they have Plasma guard all over and around the toe box area which keeps junk away - no hard toe box though, and personally although I do not run on Trails, I don't think these are suitable for trails.I water-proofed them in all but one spot where the mesh is open and they seem to do fine in wintery conditions. They would be prefect IF they had a Gore-Tex lining - why they didn't do this is any one's guess - but typical of Asics to go half way. They could have had a killer foul weather running shoe for a few more dollars more - that I would have happily paid. Too bad they ask their customers about these details!!On the appearance side they look Great (colour scheme) and the Plasma Guard around the toe box is very obvious - in a good way.

Fit well - seem to to be well made too
Long time ASICS fan. I need the DuoMax for my over-pronation and particularly have liked the 2000s support. These newer 2000s are designed differently than previous models. Toe box is a bit snugger, but overall I like the feel and design. 10 1/2" was what I wear in 2000s and these seem to fit fine. Just started wearing for casual wear not running. Will update if I start to see premature wear or have any other issues.

As Expected
This is the fifth replacement of the GT series shoes I wear mainly for walking. They fit, wear and last exactly the same which is about one year. I walk 10,000 - 12,000 steps per day 5 days a week in these shoes. I don't know if that's "normal", average, typical or what but I know I find the value (about $90-$100 a pair) to be acceptable to me. I have worn other shoes that last longer (sometimes twice as long) but one part of the shoe always last longer than another. For me, tread is important when hiking so slip prevention is "more important" than a breaking-down arch support. Also, I tend to walk heavy on my heel so that particular cushion is necessary to get the most comfort. Size note: they run small. I normally wear 10.5 but find the 11 fits better "overall".

PNW running shoes
I have been buying and returning shoes for about a month looking for a decent pair that suits my needs. I need something that is water resistant since I live in the Pacific Northwest and puddles are a fact of life. I need a shoe with a higher than usual heel support and a wide toe box. This pair satisfied all of my requirements and they look pretty good. I have run twice in them (total of about 10 miles) on a mix of road, sidewalk, grass, & trail and they do not hurt my heel, nor do they irritate the sides of my foot which is a common issue.

Wearing out already
I am a die-hard Asics lover. In the past, I could take a pair of Asics shoes off of the shelf in my size and be happy with them without needing to try them on. Additionally, I could get a shoe to last 2-3 years before I've worn the tread flat (uppers stayed in great condition). These shoes felt smaller than I am used to and I had to get used to the size difference, so much so, that I double checked that the size that I ordered was the size marked on the shoe. My wife got a pair of Asics shoes at the same time, and she had to go up a half size because of the same complaint. Additionally, without heavy use, the uppers are already wearing out after light use in only 4-5 months.

I LOVE THESE SHOES. They go well with PT UNIFORM.
This is my 3rd pair of the years. I normally purchase high visibility colors for safety. The hi-vis were more expensive. These shoes look nice with the ARMY PT Uniform.More importantly they feel good to run in. I typically run 2-8 miles at a time in them.
