We've played three or four games now and it really is an enjoyable game, packed with atmosphere. The use and manipulation of the photos of the victorian children is really well done. Great for playing on a dark and stormy night! Download the sound track from the website for more chills.

As the company's name implies, this is a very Quirky game. It has a lot of unique game rules and systems to govern play. And this is one of the first times I've ever discovered a company that will give you something for free that totally enhances the play of this game. You get to download a soundtrack for this game when you buy it. The soundtrack explains the history of the house and all the different iterations it went through to become the haunted house you are exploring now. Great addition! One set of tracks has a narrator so you can learn the history of the house, another set of tracks has only the music, so you can play it while you explore, adding a spooky aural twist to the game play. I like the way you get to build the house as the game progresses, thus making each play-through unique. The ghost movement rules are nice as they follow arrows of spirit energy around the board, and the way you determine when the ghosts become enraged is very nice. The two-sided ghost cards are cool, one side for calm, the other side for enraged. Quite the unsettling change in their demeanor. With four players it took us an average of about 45-60 min to play. It was really a lot of fun. Hunting for toys and pulling occasional pranks on fellow players. Great game, especially on those nights when the wind is whistling around the corners of the house and a slight damp is in the air. Is that a musty, graveyard smell? Explore this house if you dare.

Very fun to play. Art work on the cards is very well detailed and helps add to the atmosphere of the game. Rulebook is clear and has lots of illustrations on what's being said to help the reader better understand the rules. Definately worth playing on a chilly evening at home with some friends with the lights down.

My favorite board game to play with the family.

It's a bit complicated on the rules, but fun once you get the hang of it. It would be great if an expansion is released with more rooms and different action cards. Also I appreciate that there was a catch in the toy card duplicate and the correct one was inserted.

This is a really unique concept. The constant moving and tucking of cards can get a little tedious, but it’s a pretty fun game in general.
