Excellent weather station for your home or work
We had one of these for several years in our house and it broke when we had a Power Outage the other day, electronics don’t like power outages! So I got a new one and installed it. This thing works great if you’re looking for a weather station in your house this is the one to get.

GREAT FOR THE PRICE!!
For about $40, its a great little unit with a nice display. I was a little reserve on ordering the product as I have read all the bad reviews. I seems to be fairly accurate, not going to say fully accurate but I have only have my phone to compare it to, and its always been within a couple degrees considering the airport to about 7 miles away which does the reporting. As far as the remote sensor, I was even more apprehensive because I wanted to use this in my shop which has steel walls and a cell phone signal even has a hard penetrating the walls. My remote sensor is about 40' away and never had a problem with it communicating with the base. I would assume the sensor is NOT fully water tight as per the instructions say to locate it where rain cannot directly get to it. I just used a zip tie under an eve of the house which seemed to work great. The atomic clock has not once lost its signal or lost time, which I've had other brands do. Some people seem to think that this has a picture on the display of the forecast, which is wrong. Its merely telling you the current barometric pressures. Sunny and flowers is high pressure, clouds and lightning is low pressure, its not a reflection of what the weather is doing outside. The display is bright, colorful, and easy to read... kind of.. I have this unit on a table and can read it fine either sitting or standing, harder to read the display from the side to side angles, or if you are down lower than the unit itself. Must be plugged in to see the display, but does have battery backup so you dont have to redo the setup. The setup itself was really easy as well. Ive had this unit for about 5 months.

Connectivity Sensor to base station not good
I received this weather station today. Setup was easy and the device looks good. The first thing I noticed when the sensor connected to the base station is that the battery indicator indicated "low" even with brand new, fresh batteries. I tried several batteries from a fresh pack, always the same result. The base station was plugged into 110V via the power source which came with it. The sensor worked flawlessly as long as it was between 1-15ft from the base station. The base station showed a connection with 5 bars. But when I moved the sensor 6ft across my deck and tried to mount it there the base station lost the signal and never regained it. The reach of 300ft is a joke!I found a way to mount the sensor underneath the glass table on my deck and have now a 5 bar connection and decent temperature and humidity readings. This also provides very good protection for the sensor from the elements. In summer I have sun on that deck for a couple of hours. I assume that skews the temperature and humidity readings during that time. But I can live with that. What bothers me is the poor signal strength I get when I move the sensor just a few feet further and that the battery level indicator for the sensor keeps on showing "Low". Therefore the 2 stars.I like the looks of the station and so far the accuracy. I will update my review in the future should the battery level indicator or anything else change.Update on 6/3/2019: I have had this weather station for over two months now and have upgraded it to 4 stars. It works perfectly and with good accuracy. The location I put the sensor at turned out to be a great location because the sensor is protected and when the sun is shining on the deck I put the sun umbrella up and the sensor reading is not affected by direct sun exposure. Batteries seem to be holding up just fine. The battery indicator has not shown up again but I can live with that. Overall very good product I can recommend with only minor things to criticize. Therefore 4 stars out of 5.

Easy to read, bright digital display
This weather station comes with an AC adapter, an outdoor remote sensor, and instruction booklet. Set-up is easy, but may be challenging to some without the instruction booklet. The weather station has a colorful, bright display that’s very easy to read. It shows time and temperature, date, weather forecasts, both indoor and outdoor humidity levels, and more. Alerts can be customized for temperatures that exceed or fall below your set limits. The casing feels a little on the cheap plastic side, but it looks good and the feel is irrelevant once it’s in position. The accuracy of the outdoor temperature readings depends largely on where you position the remote sensor. I originally installed it on the southeast side of my house, but the temperature showed about 10°F higher than the weather app on my phone. After moving it to the north side of my house, the temperature display was within 3 degrees with the weather app, which is acceptable for my needs. The variance probably is due to the differences between the weather station’s feeding my weather app and the exact location of the remote sensor.

Nice display, Questionable Quality Control
I am quite pleased with this weather station. The set-up was reasonably easy though there are no paper instructions (I couldn't find any.) This was a replacement for a some what cheaper La Crosse color model that did not have the atomic clock feature. The LEDs went bad after a week or so.)This station does have the atomic clock feature. I just set the time as accurately as I could manually. Then, I had the station search for the WW signal turned on. It found the signal after one night. Please note I have only had this station about a week. But, so far, so good. Here are the good and bad points.Strengths:1. Large, bright numbers and time settings. (There are three settings available, full brightness, dim and off.) Users will most likely find the dim setting is still too bright at night. (My wife said it looked like a "spaceship" bridge.") I actually turn it off at night.2. The station shows relative humidity both inside and out. That's a good feature.3. It runs on both A/C 110V with a 5DC Volt transformer or 3 AAA batteries. The 5V transformer is included. I put in LI batteries in both the station (as a backup) and transmitter. The batteries should last well over a year. On my old La Crosse, I had to change batteries every 6 months and then would have to reset everything. That was a pain.4. Set-up was easy.5. The readings are quite accurate. I compare them to a Weather Underground location about a mile away. My station is usually within a degree of their temperature, and 2% of their relative humidity.Weaknesses:1. No written instructions.(Other reviewers said their did come with some, but I could not find them2. "Dim setting" too bright to keep the station at your bedside at night.3. No barometric pressure numerical reading.I haven't noticed any other weakness so far. I will update this review if something significant warrants it.Update January 12, 2015 (After about 6 weeks of use.)1. The Barometric function is basically worthless. It showed snow when the sky was clear and the temp below freezing. T-storms showed another day when there were none within several 100 miles. (I know because I can go to my Weather Underground online and double-check.)2. The temperature readings both inside and out are very accurate. Tonight the outside temp was exactly the same as a weather station one mile away. The inside readings are within one degree of the house digital thermostat.3. Humidity readings also are very accurate. I double-check them, too. A caveat - it can't read less than 19% humidity. Why, I don't know. In the desert southwest, we often get readings in the single digits, so this is a fault, albeit minor.4. The unit is still going strong. I hope it lasts several years. I guess the quality control is iffy based on other reviewers' comments.Update on July, 2016.I had this unit for about 1 1/2 years. I am now downgrading to only 3 stars. Why - Several reasons.1. The button that controlled the function to show the high for the day quit after a year. I never could get it to work again.2. The time reading were constantly off by 2-3 hours (too fast). I could never figure why it wouldn't hold the proper time no matter how many times I reset it.3. Finally, the LED screen recently cracked (no, I didn't drop it.), rendering the unit almost unusable. I threw the whole unit away. Save your money and buy another brand.

EZ to set up
Love it. EZ to set up, worked the first time, unlike the Newentor I had to return. The display is bright and easy to read, including the day and date, which were too small and dim on the Newentor Q3. The only con is the loud annoying beep that accompanied any button press. I asked them how to turn it off. They said, "Sorry."

US plug
Only comes with a US plug. Buyers beware

Great product but be careful
Absolutely fantastic weather station. Easy to set up, including the outdoor sensor but make sure you also buy an outdoor housing for it to keep it weather proofed. Only one drawback currently is that it has what under investigation seems to be a US mains pinned plug to connect to the mains with. Afterallthistime were great with a much speedier delivery than even that estimated at ordering. They were also very prompt at answering my mains power query but in the end suggested just 2 adapter plugs, one was a standard UK adapter for plugging extra things in and the other was a EU adapter plug, which as it seems to be a US plus as per photo I sent them, wasn't a lot of help. After a final try at getting some help from them following which they stopped replying, so I purchased a US to UK power adapter, which hasn't done the trick. La Crosse is a Michigan company which I have contacted to hopefully help me as Afterallthistime don't seem to know what they are selling in detail. Lastly if La Crosse can't give me a solution I will continue to just run on batteries as it is still a great machine. Seem from the start to be very accurate, even though La Crosse says it takes a few weeks to get forecasts fully running

Great unit for temps, humidity and many other features
- add 2 batteries for the wireless outside sensor- add 3 batteries for the main unit- plug in the AC power adapter, 5VIf you only use the batteries, the unit powers down its brightness after 10 seconds and you can hardly see anything. You must plug it in and also add 3 batteries as backup and then you can adjust the brightness.I love this unit. Accurate temperature and humidity readings.Love you can set it your time zone, day light savings and its an atomic based clock.I wanted something new and colorful and not cheap. This delivers.Update: I've had this weather station for 8.5 years and it finally started failing. It was the last year or two having remote sensor issues, changing the batteries multiple times a year, re syncing multiple times and the battery display is always low now. So I bought a new remote sensor.I shopped around and new weather stations haven't changed much in 8.5 years.FINAL UPDATE:It wasn't the new outdoor sensor or new batteries. The base unit receiving the outdoor sensor signal stopped working properly and now has died.I will be buying another station because it lasted me about 7 years with no issues. The last 1.5 years the base unit wasn't receiving the outdoor sensor signal properly, syncing didn't help and new batteries didn't help. I could be 10 feet from the base unit with the sensor and it went from 5 full bars down to 0 bars. If I did a sync scan, it came back at 12'C and the temp wouldn't change with low battery. The wireless receiver on the base unit started to fail after 7 years and is done after 8.5 years. Not too shappy and I will buy again.
