Halo 100% Cotton Sleepsack Swaddle Wearable Blanket, Nautical Tug Boats, Newborn

The hospital I delivered at gives a gift of 1 cream colored Halo Sleep sack with their name on it. I used it for a week and discovered that my newborn son loves being swaddle in Halo Sleep sacks. I have used at least 2 other brands of sleep sacks and have not had the same great outcome as Halo. I ended up purchasing 2 more (to have for the rotation of laundry) and 2 fleece ones. The cotton ones are perfect for most climates. The only downside is that the cotton is very stretchy and my son is “Houdini” so it requires a tighter pull on the swaddle to keep his arms in which makes me wonder if the fabric will stretch over time. The patterns are very cute (my personal favorite patterns are the trucks and the blue bunnies)

I am a first time mom and thankfully was advised by friends to buy a few dft swaddles to see what worked best for my little one. He ended up being a thumb sucker and this was miserable when I swaddled him with arms in bc he couldn’t self sooothe. We used this which allows for his arms to be out (and in if you choose) and he is sleeping much much better. The swaddle has 2 zippers so you can unzip the bottom of changing at night without having to undo the top- we completely take him out of it tho for night feedings so he wakes up and eats a full meal.

Our hospital was using these swaddled and our kind of got used to them. He would pen up the Muslim cloth swaddled but when we use these he gets good 2 to 3 hrs of sleep as a newborn and that give us some time to recharge.

The design is a good attempt at a easier swadle, the outcome is lacking. We have tried using this 3 different ways and 4 nights. He keeps getting his hands stuck in the cutouts and it rides up terribly. I love the zipper and loose bottom but the flaws that it presents and danger of riding up no matter how tight or how much I fold the fabric down makes this a fail for me.

We have three Halo Sleep Sacks and love them. This particular one though the Hedgehog print is either a FAKE or it has a slight variation to its design which is odd to me. The zipper isn’t the awesome two way zipper that’s on all my other Halos, it is some cheap regular zipper and it doesn’t have the nice fabric around it at the top to protect your baby’s neck.
