Seek out BPA-free products. More and more BPA-free products have come to market. Look for products labeled as BPA-free. If a product isn't labeled, keep in mind that some, but not all, plastics marked with recycle codes 3 or 7 may be made with BPA.

Is the lid liner removable for easy cleaning?

I have not needed to remove it since a warm sudsy cloth then a quick rinse has been sufficient. It appears to be fairly simple.

Is there any reason *not* to get the 20-cup version over the 14-cup model if it's only $3 more expensive?

The 14-cup model will probably be quicker and easier to clean, so if you know you'll never need more than 10 cups of rice or so, might as well save $3 and some counter space.

Can one make a lot of rice and store it within the rice cooker for a few days? 40 minutes is only viable with big batches
