Excellent Rod, Excellent Value - Not a spokesperson for this rod but fastly becoming one.
I bought this rod just to have a cheap 2nd rod for one of my older reels.I currently use a GLoomis GL2 with my Curado...well I tested this rod on Lake Fork this weekend and I can tell you, it's as light and handles just as good if not better then my $300 G-loomis...Sad and happy to say I am moving my curado over from my G-Loomis to this Daiwa and I am buying two more to switch out my other rods....I like it that much I fish 100-150 times a year so I need a good rod to hold up..so far this one has been outstanding.About the rod... just so you know the rod that is pictured is not the rod you will receive. See my picture to see what the rod looks more like. They one they ship is a black rod with black foam handle not cork. So if you are hoping for a cork rod then you will be disappointed..like I was at first but then after you use it, you'll realize it's better. For the money this rod is exceptional value, it looks great and it handles even better. The rod characteristics are:- 1 Piece Rod- Very Light,- Stiffer backbone- Sensitive - My G Loomis is about an 8/9 on sensitiveness this one is about a 7/8...very high sensitivity.- Slow tip, (meaning the tip isn't flexible (or bendy) so it's a great jigging, swimbait or crankbait rod..(Get a fast tip or bendy tip, for worms and soft plastics)- Eyes are pretty good and don't seem cheap. If it can handle a 6 lber in heavy Lake Fork cover, you should do pretty good with it.

Good
I like this casting rod. I have a Lew's reel on it, and it casts great. Medium to stiff action.

Great rod for the price.
Very satisfied. Arrived on time and in good condition. Used it the next week at the coast. It had a sensitive feel and good backbone.

Poor quality
One of the inserts came out of a line guide rendering the rod useless.
