The smell was exactly what I was hoping for
I have tried sandalwood colognes, aftershaves, and so on and they rarely smell like the sandalwood scent that I am looking for. There is a deodorant made called Everyman Jack in sandalwood and I just loved the smell and have been desperately searching for a scent that matches or is very close to that. Opening the bottle and taking a sniff this is by far the closest I have found. So if I can just get the dilution rate for a 2.5ML bottle right it should work out great. I was told I should use about 4oz of carrier oil if I want to dilute the entire 2.5LT so we shall see how that pans out.

Worth the money.
The smell is like almost like real Sandalwood from India. It does have some dark notes so it can be worn by a man. I really like it and it is a very nice sandalwood. Years ago, I had some genuine Indian sandalwood and cannot find anything comparable any more. It was incredible. So now, I am blending 5 different sandalwoods together in an attempt to approximate my original Sandalwood experience. This alone will not do it, but it is a vital component to the mix I have now. It is a VERY good Sandalwood. If the 6 different sandalwoods I have bought for my "magic mix" this is one of the nicest. Worth the money.

Buy Hawaiian from a Hawaiian Company!
Personally I think Hawaiian is the best Sandalwood, followed by Australian. Every Indian I have tried so far has sort of a sickly sweet smell to it. Maybe years back it was good, but I haven't found it to be so in 2019. This company, Miracle Botanicals, is located in Hawaii. They're a small company with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. They sell an amazing variety of unusual oils. Then, there's the fact that there's only ONE Sandalwood farm in Hawaii. So Hawaiian Sandalwood should be the same (other than standard batch variations, no two batches will be exactly alike), what makes more sense than buying it from the neighbors? I did and I've got a sample from another company, When I need more Hawaiian, Miracle Botanical is where I'll be ordering from (& I'll probably order direct, because who knows how Amazon is storing their stock of oils, though the bottle I bought from them here was fantastic). I trust Miracle Botanical's to be the freshest, knowing they're a small company, buy in small batches and they care about their customers. Their customer service is excellent. Shipping is free. I don't know how to describe the smell of this Hawaiian Sandalwood other than to say it's lovely. It's delicate with a sweet muskiness. It's rich & deep & complex. It doesn't have that something that Indian does that makes my stomach want to turn a little - that sickly sweet underlying component. Australian, to me, smells very similar to Indian but isn't as sweet, it's fresher. When I think of Hawaiian Sandalwood I want to say like a fine aged whiskey - but I don't like whiskey, it's just the idea, the ambiance those words are meant to have in people's mind, or maybe 'fuller bodied". At any rate, to me it's more exotic, more refined and just plain darn nicer! Of course, everyone's got their own preference, but as far as I can see, price wise, Hawaiian is is being called by some, "Royal Hawaiian" for a reason, it's the new King of Sandalwoods & it's costing a King's ransom! More than Indian or Australian in most cases. Miracle Botanical's got decent pricing on theirs and if you want to try Hawaiian, this is the absolute best place to go, in my non expert opinion. And while you're checking out Miracle Botanicals for their Hawaiian, check out some of their other amazing and unique oils you will have a hard time finding elsewhere

Disappointed with fragrance
Disappointed with fragrance. Having a difficult time trying to find any joy in this smell. Not the Sandlewood fragrance I was looking for, nor have experienced in the past. Normally I am the one to speak out against Doterra and Young Living as being overpriced pyramid schemes (MLM), however, in the case of 'Hawaiian Sandalwood', the stuff Doterra sells could be worn as a pleasantly appealing perfume. I only know because a friend is a Doterra person and we are regularly comparing oils. At $22 for 2ml I am very dissapointed. Hawaiian Sandalwood might be my first Doterra oil. This stuff, smells like the Sandalwood from Nepal by Healing Solutions mixed with cat urine and frankincense or something else kind of bad that doesn't blend well (not saying its actually mixed, just how it smells). I do like the profile of Sandalwood from Nepal, but it is a strong pungent aroma that I couldn't imagine being considered as a perfume.I also might buy some East-Indian sandalwood for comparison.

perhaps maybe better, than DoTerra specifically-the scent from several the Hawaiian ...
I have been looking for an alternative to Do Terra and Young and Living essential oils, and have switched over to Miracle Botanicals for the following reasons:1. Quality and convenience: The scent and effectiveness (primarily diluting for skin care) is comparable, perhaps maybe better, than DoTerra specifically-the scent from several the Hawaiian Sandalwood, smells somehow more authentic than the almost perfume like scent of Do Terra and Young and Living. Also, most of Miracle Botanical's offerings are available here on Amazon and shipping is quick.2. Transparency: Miracle Botanicals provides information on method of extraction, like other reputable companies such as Mountain Rose (for some reason YL and DoTerra do not), which is very important to finding out about the purity of the product.3. Price: Miracle Botanicals consistently offers lower, or more accessible pricing, than YL and DoTerra. I believe this is because they don't have the "Therapeutic Grade" label, which isn't a regulated status, and from what I have read has more to do with the company paying for a special insurance than actual proven medical uses. In any case Miracle Botanicals also states that it uses therapeutic grade oils, and doesn''t seem to pass on the extra cost to its customers.4. Intention: Miracle Botanicals is a small business and one of the founding owners activates each batch with Reiki, I appreciate that effort and intentionality.
