Does not work well with a MacBook Pro 2016 model at all. I have to unplug and plug the HDMI end of the cable almost every time. Sometimes the external screen goes green, other times the signal gets lost completely. Really not happy with this product. Even when the video feed is okay, the audio glitches out sometimes and I have to unplug it and plug it in again to get it working again. Would return it if I could but don't want to buy the £50 adapter from Apple for now, but if you didn't buy this yet, definitely don't do it and pay some extra for the HDMI adapter from Apple.!! EDIT: Upon leaving my feedback, I got contacted by the company and they told me that "Our first batch of this product indeed has the unplug and plug issue to active the cable." They apologised for the inconvenience and they sent me not one, but two replacement cables which have the issue resolved. I am extremely happy with this product now as it works seamlessly and I didn't encounter any problems while using it. I feel very positive that it will last as I'm not expecting it to start acting up - overall the cable is very high quality. I am also very happy with the customer service because I did not expect to be contacted by them and definitely didn't expect to get sent replacement cables. All of this resulted in me changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars and I'm sticking with it.THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED REVIEW AND I WAS NOT ASKED TO GIVE A POSITIVE FEEDBACK. Same problem on a 2017 MacBook that others are having, the only way to get it to work is to unplug and replug the HDMI into the monitor.... Pity very nice cable will be getting returned. The most common use for these right now is going to be Apple laptops so poor to keep selling faulty items.Update:The seller has got in touch after my comments above. They have sent out a new cable and apologised, Restored some faith that sellers on Amazon do actually read feedback and do something about it. So I have upped this review to 5 stars, as I said above the cable itself appears to be good quality and up to the job aside from the known fault.Just to confirm that the updated cable has arrived as promised, they sent two.

Works smoothly! Best purchase ever!

I purchased this specifically to use with my Fold7 and DeX, but the phone doesn't recognise it at all. I don't think that the cable was faulty, because it seemed to work fine on my laptop, and to be fair there's no mention of Fold7 ( or the current S series generation ) anywhere. Having now looked around the Internet, it appears that Samsung have changed something in the latest generation to do with power to the USB port, though it's unclear what exactly people do report that some HDMI cables/ adaptors work and some don't, so make sure you do your own research!

Tested this cable in all ways possible. Works like a charm for me on my MacBook pro 2017 15”. Hooked it up to my Panasonic TV and it works.I was curious about the complaints of disconnecting the the cable from the MacBook and re-connecting it again with various cables, that when this was conducted , the TV or monitor would stay black/off.So I conducted a test my self. I Disconnect it from the macbook pro then reconnected it to my macbook whilst leaving the HDMI cable in the tv to see if it the tv would display again by it self. It worked after 1-5 seconds. Did it the other way around too, disconected from the HDMI socket whilst leaving the usb-c in the macbook. It also Worked perfectly. sound was also coming through.Conducted 2nd test. Hooked it up to my ASUS Pc moniter. Conducted the same tests as before on my TV. same fantastic results. Although it recognised it as a pc monitor and displayed more space instead of mirroring the macbooks display. Easy to solve that for people who don’t know (you only need to do this one time). On your macbook, Go to: system preferences> displays>arrangement & tick the box mirror displays.Also some people complain about wifi issues with usb-c third party produts. I’ve come to see that this is or was an issue with apple’s software. For me as of this time I have not experienced any disconnections/interruptions with the WIFI. So that works too.Most likely people who buy this cable will also want to use it in the living room with a Bluetooth keyboard and usb-c to usb2- usb3 adaptor. So i have thrown in some pictures of my other purchase as a bounous to this review.P.S the size comparison to the back of the Tv was with a traditional hdmi cable and google chrome cast cable. 4k was also working smoothly too.For some reason Amazon will only let me disply 1 photo for the review . So i had to conbine them all into one.

I have tried everything from different devices and various additional apps to connecting/reconnecting and have had to finally give up. Never purchased a cable this bad from Amazon before and I do not have time to return it. Just not worth it.

I'm glad I got the 6' cable to give me some extra slack, and it is something to think with if you have a standing desk that adjusts height.The nylon braid over the cable and the protective sleeve at the ends are nice as it keeps the cable from getting kinked up or bent on itself. I had immediate connection and the signal quality is excellent and works perfect for my set up. It is compatible with either my Mac AirBook or my iPhone 17, and it is nice to have a thin and compact connector/wire, rather than the thick and bulky HDMI cables that come standard with most equipment.I'm happy with my purchase and the price was really good too.

Buen producto, cumple con la función. Lo quería para conectar mi Macbook Air 2020 al monitor junto a un teclado mientras el portátil tuviera la pantalla cerrada, pero resulta que solo funciona así si también está conectado a la corriente. Entonces no me quedó más opción que comprar un HUB con varias salidas y poder conectarlo todo.
